Take my wing, I'll take anything for it!

Ok so this summer I ordered a Version 5 wing, came cracked, sent a new one, blah blah blah.

First thread about my crappy crap broken wing.

http://ice9gaming.com/uploads/profile/largecrack.jpghttp://ice9gaming.com/uploads/profile/zoomcrack.jpg

Well I really need to get rid of this thing. I would get it fixed at a shop but that is muy denero. I would also fix it myself but I don't want it to re-crack later down the road if I did it wrong, and then have the person who bought it shoot me. So I will basically take anything for it. Or a cool one hundo. SOMEBODY TAKE IT!

sperry 2005-11-29 11:42 AM

Ouch! IMO, the v5 is the best looking factory wing Subaru's ever put on a car... it sucks to see it hammered like that! :(

If someone's got a hookup for repairs, $100 for a v5 is an awesome deal. Especially if you're someone w/ a GC Impreza!

Kevin M 2005-11-29 03:40 PM

Is it fiberglass? If so, there's corvette shops around that can probably fix it fairly cheap.

If it's not a replica, it should be plastic.

Kevin M 2005-11-29 04:56 PM

There are a couple of plastic fabrication shops around. How much did they quote you JDJ?

JonnydaJibba 2005-11-30 07:39 AM

It's a replica. I didn't wanna pay a billion dollars for a genuine V5 wing. So a couple places that do fiberglass quoted it at a number that I don't want to tell you... =(

Libila 2005-11-30 10:42 PM

Give it to me for Christmas.

JonnydaJibba 2005-12-01 07:21 AM

No! What a waste of $450!!!!

($250 + Shipped twice @$100 = $450)

Libila 2005-12-01 09:42 PM

I never said it would be fair, but it would make me smile.

JonnydaJibba 2005-12-02 08:55 AM

Find me: A) '99 Drivers side headlamp B) Ver 6 greezy C) Bumper beam (non-JDM preferred) and it's yours Lib!

Tom 2005-12-04 10:04 PM

Sorrry man......hows that. Good luck with the sale.

JonnydaJibba 2005-12-05 07:24 AM

Geez pull the carpet right out from under me huh?

Tom 2005-12-05 11:32 AM

sorry, i thought of that after i posted it.

JonnydaJibba 2005-12-05 11:57 AM

Hey don't worry about it. I have just been trying to give this thing away for months.

Libila 2005-12-08 10:43 PM

Give it to me for chirstmas bitch.

JonnydaJibba 2005-12-09 07:17 AM

Hey what's going on with your hood? I still am looking for a grill and a headlamp... *hint* get them to replace it alllll.

Libila 2005-12-09 10:56 PM

I can help you out with the grill, but my lights are staying put.

JonnydaJibba 2005-12-12 07:39 AM

Got anything else fun Tim? Oh and I sold my other wing to Matt (2.5RSMatt).

Libila 2005-12-12 09:43 AM

You're such a B

JonnydaJibba 2005-12-12 01:36 PM

Dude I sold the good one. I still have the shitty one in which the context of this thread is compiled? What I just confused myself. ><

Libila 2005-12-12 09:38 PM

Why did you sell your good one? Are you having a change of heart as to what you're doing with the L?

His car is fuckin' hawt. You don't happen to have pics with the new wing do you?

JonnydaJibba 2005-12-13 07:50 AM

Um no pictures. Everybody asks for pictures but it's just a V5 wing, nothin crazy. Unless you mean his car with the wing? No, I just gave it to him Saturday. And his car would look so much better I think if he painted his lower extremedies. Lip, spats, sideskirts, that junk. But that's just my opinion.

Oh and Tim I decided to keep it wingless. I really want a cf trunk but the prices are more then hoods so that might be out the window. I have to find out how much it is to paint my primered trunk.

You need to fix those two little dings, don't forget.

JonnydaJibba 2005-12-14 07:32 AM

Yes those two little dings that somebody was suppose to fix for me! The ones that I look at every day and think "Those holes are right in line of where a 15hp wing would sit, and that's gay." So thank you R.W.D. III, I won't soon forget.

JonnydaJibba 2005-12-22 07:51 AM

It's weird that I put that I would take anything for my wing...anything. And still nobody wants it.

I'll give you -$20 for it.

Nick Koan 2005-12-22 10:26 AM

Think it'll fit on a BL Legacy?

JonnydaJibba 2005-12-22 10:28 AM

I've seen a 99 legacy with one, and the Acura version of an Accord or whatever, and it fit nice. It might look bad ass on a new LGT.

khail19 2005-12-22 01:32 PM

Someone should photoshop it.

Would you take a snowboard as a trade for the wing?

JonnydaJibba 2005-12-22 02:59 PM

Hell yes, since my snowboard was stolen there has been a void in my heart that cannot be filled...

Well, if I see anyone with an extra snowboard who needs a broken WRX wing, I'll send them your way :P

Pssh, you let it end.

Cody: I'm like 5' 10", 5' 11"--ish.

Timma: It happened the first time I went boarding a couple Sundays ago.

cody 2005-12-23 07:59 AM

I think Scott's old Burton Floater is too long for you then. I'm not sure how long it is, but it comes up to my chin and I'm 6' 5"

JonnydaJibba 2005-12-23 08:51 AM

HA, yeah I need like a 154-156.

You can have you'r old truck back if you'd like.

MattR 2005-12-28 10:56 PM

Jonny.....I have a 156x30 Avalanche board (Old school but still works great, really good powder board since it's so wide) In great shape. It's kind of my back up board, but I never really use it. I'll sell it to you for $40. Let me know. No Bindings.

JonnydaJibba 2005-12-29 07:22 AM

Wow neato. I have a friend that will let me use one of his boards for the season, but I have yet to check it out. I'll let you know, I appreciate it much.

doubleurx 2005-12-29 10:40 AM

Just break the other side of the wing, get some rope and use that.
