Woohoo!

JC 2006-12-16 02:34 PM

It's like 60 outside man.

Nick Koan 2006-12-16 02:46 PM

Damn,

I went into work for a few hours this morning and it was nice. Like 55F and sunny. And when I left it was snowing. Damn.

I just looked outside no snow falling in Stead...yet?

Dean 2006-12-16 03:08 PM

Snowing and sticking here in Caughlin ranch area.

DARKSTI 2006-12-16 03:51 PM

Be careful guys, just came down from Incline and there were at least 10 accidents and lot of spinouts.

I am so stoked though, just got my pass to Sugar Bowl :)

edit: I actually saw a white '06 STI just miss a crunched up Mustang just before the Bowl EB.

MattR 2006-12-16 04:00 PM

This is awesome, it's been sticking for a while up here in the NW...good times.

tysonK 2006-12-16 04:46 PM

Wow it was a legacy getting home from North Valleys. people freaking out everywhere, about 5 spinouts and 2 complete turnovers..oh well.

MikeK 2006-12-16 05:46 PM

Just 2 of the 7 accidents I saw in 90 minutes of driving.

Oh yeah, first snow of the year gets em every time. Driving back from Sliverada, I was amazed to see people driving (painfully) slowly. I forgot how 2-lanes shrink to one when it snows. People are really caught off guard. Finally got to test out the Pirelli's in UNR parking lot. So far, not too impressed with the Winter Carvings, but they were cheap.

100_Percent_Juice 2006-12-16 08:55 PM

God bless having a wrx at a time like this. As I drive by people are like *woot the fook!* and *damn, truely a king among men*

100_Percent_Juice 2006-12-16 08:57 PM

I almost forgot. The best part of my day was seeing an srt-4 slide right off the road as if he were a baby duck walking across an icy pond.

JC 2006-12-17 06:29 AM

Ya it's sweet huh!

Well I will be home in two days, I guess I get to play in the snow too. :)

Libila 2006-12-17 08:20 AM

I've got, oh wait, yep...

...It's still raining.

cody 2006-12-17 06:31 PM

I wasted my legs on Saturday. Wish the weather report could be accurate for a change.

DARKSTI 2006-12-17 07:39 PM

Sugar Bowl was pretty good today, felt good to back on the planks after 2 years :)

MPREZIV 2006-12-18 07:35 AM

Really? I can't drive up my driveway in the truck w/o throwing it in 4x4... it's too bad 80% of that 7000lbs is on the front tires.

AtomicLabMonkey 2006-12-18 10:50 AM

I think it's the fact that my bed is half as long, and my cab is twice as big. Better weight dist to the rear.

MPREZIV 2006-12-18 12:57 PM

I got a G-35x (awd) in this morning that BUSTED both driver's side wheels. Suspension is F*ed!!!!! Wow. I haven't seen anyone do one that good in a long while! Can anyone say Snow Donkey!?!

Dean 2006-12-18 03:27 PM

So Cory, did you finally have to take off the new wheels and summer tires and put on some snows...

Glad the cash register is ringing for ya.

Is it just me, or did the City not bother to plow? Plumb and the neighborhoods in the West were all compressed snow / ice with a smidge of sand here and there.

With only about a total of 4" you would think they could have stayed ahead of it and not let it build up.

MPREZIV 2006-12-18 03:34 PM

I put the snows on today! I had to drive all the way across town on Sat. night too! FUN! I was frankly just too lazy to come here and put them on on Sat. when it started snowing. F it! I'm plenty used to driving in snow.

The cash register is ringing BIG TIME! That G looks like it'll need about $6-7k worth of repairs!!! Prob. about 15 hours for me!

Pat R. 2006-12-18 04:08 PM

I leave town for a few days and come back to this crap. :( It was downright balmy in Green Bay compared to this.

DARKSTI 2006-12-18 04:56 PM

The main streets here in the NW are fine, but the side streets are basically packed snow/ice

I didn't see a single plow.
