2007 SECCS Stickers... finally!

2 Attachment(s)
Okay, I've got a design for the stickers. Please give me your input on available colors, so far I think 3 colors (Black, Gray, White) for the main logo, and 3 colors for the inner stuff (Black, White, Red) but if there's enough people that want different or more inner color options, I'm all ears.

I've drawn up some examples (attached). Once I have enough feedback with regards to quantity and colors, I'll find somewhere to get these cut!

MattR 2007-01-14 02:06 PM

Yeah, those colors should be great.

100_Percent_Juice 2007-01-14 02:09 PM

I love the design and I would be happy to be the one to make them. I would like to make one in chrome like the rex sticker on my car.

M3n2c3 2007-01-14 02:10 PM

Sweet. :)

I'd prefer to have the innards in grey, but I could probably go for a grey outer/blue inner too. . .

khail19 2007-01-14 02:17 PM

I really like having the stars inside the "S" with the two stickers together. Nice design Scott.

JonnydaJibba 2007-01-14 02:34 PM

Finally was my exact thought too! Thanks for taking the time to make these Scott, they look great.

Nick Koan 2007-01-14 02:35 PM

Nice, I like them.

My tint is too dark for black stickers, so I'd also like to put in a vote for red outer stickers too. But, if I'm the only one that wants those, then I could figure something out with gray.

Libila 2007-01-14 03:10 PM

I really like the designs Scott. How dark is the gray going to be? Would it show up on silver well?

You realize that the examples I posted aren't the complete set of options, right? You could do white with red, or gray with red. The outer stickers will be cut separately from the inner stickers. Everyone will be able to mix and match.

JC 2007-01-14 04:27 PM

I want a set of all white and some irony for the EVO. :p

Right, but I'd still like a red outer is what I'm saying.

But, gray outer be a decent backup option.

100_Percent_Juice 2007-01-14 04:43 PM

Hey scott, I dont know how you feel about giving out your artwork but I would like to have it if you dont mind. Even if you have your own vinyl guy I would like to make one of these in chrome with a black border because it looks really nice on tinted windows. The chrome vinyl I have seems to work better then most so pm me when you get a chance.

ScottyS 2007-01-14 05:09 PM

Very good. Consider gray inners?

Joeyy 2007-01-14 06:29 PM

I like the combo sticker and I'd like some for my helmet and wagon. The wagon has felt naked for years without one.

SlickNick112 2007-01-14 08:00 PM

I'd like to go all blue. Or maybe even white & blue combo. Like Nick, my windows are too dark for black.

sperry 2007-01-14 08:40 PM

I'd really like to avoid doing a bunch of custom colors and special requests. It's a nightmare to inventory and handle the order when you're dealing with tons of colors, not to mention the added expense of additional rolls of vinyl.

The most efficient way to do this is to pick 3 or 4 colors, and cut both inner and outer logos in all colors. I'm just trying to figure out what will be most popular. And I'd like to avoid any one-off type stuff, just because I don't have time to support everyone's special requests.

khail19 2007-01-14 10:28 PM

Put up a poll, and pick the top 3 or 4 of each size. Seems like the best way to me.

100_Percent_Juice 2007-01-14 11:41 PM

Yeah a poll sounds like a good idea and again scott if you cant find anyone to do them for cheap and fast, im just a PM away.

SlickNick112 2007-01-15 07:26 AM

You mean that wasn't a poll?! I was just stating what my wants are.

MPREZIV 2007-01-15 07:37 AM

It's about time! RED!!!!!!!!! that is all.

Joeyy 2007-01-15 09:47 AM

Grey outer for me and white or blue inner sticker, Thanks D-

zpeed 2007-01-15 10:30 AM

Any combination of Grey & Black or Grey & Red for me.

cody 2007-01-15 11:44 AM

Yellow?

Dean 2007-01-15 03:22 PM

Grey w/ Red I think for the car.

White w/ Red for the track box.

dknv 2007-01-16 04:13 PM

Designs are hot, nice job Scott!

Pink stars. Probably not enough interest though.

Actually, pink stars would be sweet on an STi... I would suggest using white stickers and a pink paint marker. ;)

100_Percent_Juice 2007-01-16 06:42 PM

ok cool so we can get pink stars, now what about the hearts, clovers, and balloons???

I don't think I'm too keen on the idea of pasting the likes of this on my car

http://theimaginaryworld.com/box710.jpg

Maybe Count Chocula. . .

kidatari 2007-01-17 10:48 AM

I think the stickers need to be cut from reflective Vinyl, but that's just me ;)

100_Percent_Juice 2007-01-17 11:35 AM

^ +1 I couldnt agree more

sti deede 2007-01-17 01:07 PM

I'm ready for mine. :)

Joeyy 2007-01-25 12:00 PM

I've got a sticker cutter thanks to our man Pat R. cleaning out his attic, but it's not up and running... I'm working on getting software to drive it, and I need to source some blades for it... but hopefully it will mean stickers on the cheap.

Kevin M 2007-02-22 09:47 AM

Awesome!

"Awesome" assumes I'll be able to get a 15 year old vinyl cutter working properly.

Kevin M 2007-02-22 10:20 AM

Unless it's borked, it's just a big printer that uses a blade instead of an ink nozzle. I have faith that you can find and install a driver for it. :D

It doesn't even need a driver... it uses a standard LPT protocol from the 80's for plotters.

What it needs is software that can output that protocol. I've got software for it, but for some reason my attempt to burn the CD image results in a useless CD, so either my legit copy of Nero thinks it's hacked, or the person that created the .NRG of the CD did it with a hacked copy of Nero.

The real problem is finding someone that still has blades in stock for an old cutter. But I'm not wasting my time ordering blades until I've got the software running dry-run plots just to see if it works at all, since the cutter's been sitting for years.

100_Percent_Juice 2007-02-22 11:59 AM

I dont know why I have to keep saying this but I have a professional vinyl cutter and I said I would be willing to do the stickers for cost.

Nick Koan 2007-02-22 01:59 PM

Your offer is duly noted.

Double Phister 2007-02-22 06:31 PM

Mmmm.... Vinyl cutters and weeding fresh cut designs. yum.

wrxkidid 2007-03-19 10:10 PM
