Vanilla? This may require further investigation.

MPREZIV 2007-02-15 11:39 AM

I DIDN'T go to Wendy's, until just a bit ago, when I saw Vince eating a Frosty, and it was white instead of brown... I inquired, and he said they got Vanilla!

It's well worth it... I grew tired of the chocolate ones AGES ago!

tysonK 2007-02-15 11:43 AM

semi-sweet

MPREZIV 2007-02-15 11:46 AM

They go well with Jerky too... mmm, lunch!

I thought the Frostys *were* vanilla? At least in the past if you ordered a "vanilla frosty" they never said "all we have is chocolate"... they just gave you a damn frosty.

MPREZIV 2007-02-15 12:25 PM

I've never seen a vanilla frosty before in my life... until about an hour ago that is.

JonnydaJibba 2007-02-15 12:57 PM

They have been out for a while. Well a little while. I thought about saying something along the lines of WTLW, but then I remembered how little you go there. So the question is, why did you go there?

Wendy's has been losin points with me lately. The last 3 times I have ordered Junior Bacons I get half a damn piece of bacon. WTF if that? Order one, you'll see.

Didn't you know, it's a (Junior Bacon) Cheeseburger... not a Junior (Bacon Cheeseburger).

JonnydaJibba 2007-02-22 02:01 PM

 HAHAHA, I can imagine them telling me that too.

Hook an out of work Vanilla brother up... :) I had to pay for one today. Not bad... Kinda like a McFlurry minus the toppings only better ice cream.

Kevin M 2007-02-22 02:44 PM

Frostys are made of ice cream?

Yes, but McFlurries are not.

Dean 2007-02-22 03:50 PM

Vanilla Frosty:

McFlurry:

Look pretty similar actually.

Kevin M 2007-02-22 03:52 PM

I always just figured that anybody who isn't screaming "OUR MILKSHAKES ARE MADE WITH REAL ICE CREAM!!!!!" must be using other stuff. Carl's and Jack are the only ones I can think of that use ice cream for their shakes. Then again, if it uses milk and sugar, I guess it's close enough.

wrxkidid 2007-02-22 05:47 PM

i still have to go get one.

we should do a taste comparision

I assumed the McFlurrie had the same ground up paper pulp in it that's in their shakes...

...take a McDonalds shake on a hot day. Take the lid off and et it upside-down on the hot sidewalk. Come back in 30 minutes. Pick up the cup and it will leave behind a warm-milkshake "sandcastle" and no puddle. Whatever's in there doesn't melt. :shudder:

100_Percent_Juice 2007-02-22 10:53 PM

^Its not suppose to melt, its suppose to coat the inside of your organs where your body will feed from the transfat for years to come.

Yup, IGT here too. What department are you in?

eggeegg 2007-02-23 10:12 AM

Firmware. Mark Bansemer's group (Lottery). You?

Really? Nick and I both worked for Mark up until a few months ago when the sb department was created and we moved.

Nick Koan 2007-02-23 10:17 AM

Man, I miss working for Mark. Like sperry said, we're in the new NAS (sb) department.

eggeegg 2007-02-23 10:19 AM

I with Meng's group to be more exact. Anyways, i'll try this free frosty for lunch. Installing springs after work. Have all the tools but never done it.

JonnydaJibba 2007-02-23 11:25 AM

Springs aren't too hard to do. And there are a bunch of us that have done it that would help if you need it.

Also, wtf is with all you IGT boys? Fa-reaks.

Kevin M 2007-02-24 12:24 PM

I officially approve of the Vanilla Frosty. Goes down damn well with 2 jr. bacons.

Dean 2008-06-06 08:59 AM

[Homer Simpson] Mmmmmm Hand Spun Frosty Shakes... Must go try one soon... [/HS]

Nick Koan 2008-06-06 09:01 AM

Kunikos tried one yesterday, and I tried the twisted frosty with oreo bits in it.

Mmmmmm....

What I love is that they have a machine that has a sticker on it that says "Hand Spun Frosty Shakes"

MikeK 2008-06-06 09:29 AM

That reminds me of the town in Japan called "Usa", where items that are exported to the USA are made.

Or the company in Australia called "100% Australian beef" that imports beef for McDonalds.
