Reno Autocross Events 2&3
 

Anybody looking to make changes to there rides prior to events 2&3? How will the next events look without the Sac ringers? Can Dean make an impression on the SM class and will Mike get back on track and out of the van?:huh:

I plan on running fast. If the weather warms up, I'm going to be feelin good. No changes to the car, It's pretty much dialed in now.

Also, who's going to let me co-drive? :(

I'm heading over to Dean's tomarrow to roll the fenders of the wagon in preparation for the 235s and I hope to get an elignment next week (depends on Cory's schedule). Anybody know of a good place to purchase some lead for my right foot?

Well the weather is looking like crap tonight but a warm up is in our future.

Hey, has something official been said about the moving of SM to another run group? I think Scott, or somebody mentioned that after the first event.

Rumor has it SM is moving to Blue group, probably permanently, depending on the way the next event shakes down.

Well, considering those Green and Blue run in different halves of the day next event, that doesn't really work.

What doesn't work?

Sunday High noon.

You can't move people between halves of the day without a whole lot of notice and on Sat. B and G run in different halves.

What's up with Mike's car? He got a FP Red right?

My car's setup nicely. I could replace the KYB AGX's with Koni's or some other more aggressive struts, but I'll wait until the AGX's die.

True. Which is why we're going to look at the numbers at the next event and figure out if SM needs to be permanently moved, then send out said notice. At the school/R1 we were way lopsided, and moved ESP, but looking longer term it seems moving SM would be the better choice, partially because most the people in SM are all-day-ers.

God I hate that term.

But yes, I plan on getting a tune at some point. For the moment, I'm just running the Cobb Stage 2 map for my car.

I got word today that there will be a large contingent in town from Sacto again....Should be a crazy fast weekend.

It should be a fun weekend, I might be running my newly acquired car. Also, it would seem that the weather this weekend will be a lot nicer than the last event's weekend.

if my clutch gets done ill be out there saturday morning and sunday afternoon.

Why would they go to the pro class?

Because I am going to beg, plead, cajole, harass, and demand it. Unless I am told flatout "no," out of town drivers who typically go to NT events and Divisionals will be pot in Pro Class. The intention of that class is to allow local drivers to measure themselves against national competitoon, and the ebst way to do that is to add as many high-level drivers to the class as possible at any given event.

They should "want" to be in National Prep because they should "want" to run under national rules because of the higher challenge.

The problem is if they're coming up here just because they want to whoop on our crappy drivers, there's no incentive to run in P.

Depending on who they are -- if they are up here to just run, and are not concerned about Reno's season points, I thought we were going to encourage RNP.

YEah, but I'm trying to do what I can to get participation up in P-class, both to encourage local participation so the class doesn't die, and to get that run group filled out a little bit. I have to check to be sure, but right now I don't think we can expect more than 15 drivers in the Blue group at this point for sure.

The green group isn't changing right? The wallet cards and the "2007 Schedule" thread should all stay correct as far as we're concerned?

For now. Either SM or ESP may get moved however, because our run group is *HUGE* and 2 of the others need help.
