I like the "passive laser restraint" feature better. I guess Hoff was too cool to use a seatbelt, but since they were passing all those seatbelt laws in the 80's, they had to make sure to point out they were buckling up... with lasers. :lol:

That was so bad I think it gave me cancer.

It lived up to all of my expectations for a 70's remake. = NONE.

The car isn't bad, but everything else was right out of any classic episode. Evil henchmen, hero saves girl, "technology" has variable powers depending on scene requirements, ties to the past, actors / characters who will not be around later killed off, etc..

To feel right, I played Atari 2600 "Thrust" (Lunar Lander with weapons) during most of it.

I watched a little of this steaming pile of carcinogenic shite, and could not believe how bad it actually was. I mean, the car shapeshifts or something? WTF? At least on the old show when they went into super-pursuit mode there were like wings and spoilers and JATO packs & shit that popped out of little trap doors, they didn't just grow out of thin air like the car was organic.

KITT's voice had zero personality too. At least in the old show Mr. Feeny gave the car some good one-liners.

How did they get Val Kilmer to do this? Is he really hurting for money that bad?

As I said to Bobby last night, I kept expecting Kilmer dressed up as Batman to jump out of the trunk.

Apparently Kilmer is a total asshole to work with.

WOW, that's harsh, but I like it, was it really that bad?! It seems to be a general all around opinion from everywhere that it sucked. I still have it unwatched on my DVR, should I even bother watching it or just delete it seriously?!

Fair enough, it's gone. Makes room for something that is worth watching like one of the the new series on Speed or some rallies if I can ever find them on tv.
