poll: Really F'n important debate

So the heated arguement has reached an ugly, spiteful head, and it must be solved here at SECCS.

Which candy bar is better? The 'Crunch" bar made by the socialist Nestle Corp, or the "krackle" bar made by Hershey's in 'Merica.

This has initiated a civil war and must be resolved.

Nick Koan 2008-08-04 03:16 PM

I'm going to have to go with the neutrals and say the Crunch bar.

Though, the krackle ain't half bad either.

ScottyS 2008-08-04 03:19 PM

Krackle, less synthetic taste.

I think.

JonnydaJibba 2008-08-04 03:19 PM

They are the same, just packaged differently. Sheesh.

MattR 2008-08-04 03:21 PM

Nick and Jonny are commies...

Scotty, I totally agree. Crunch bars taste like plastic.

MikeK 2008-08-04 03:22 PM

Everything made by Hershey's is bitter and disgusting.

One day, I would like to know what the process of bribery and corruption was that allowed hershey's products to be called "chocolate".

I vote for the crunch bar, because unlike the hershey's bar, it doesn't make me want to rinse out my mouth with sewerage just to remove the foul taste.

MattR 2008-08-04 03:24 PM

Just like any election in 'Merica, the foreign vote means nothing...enjoy your sewerage. :monkey:

JonnydaJibba 2008-08-04 03:24 PM

Clearly I underestimated the seriousness of this debate.

MattR 2008-08-04 03:28 PM

People have pinky fingers and eyebrows riding on this poll.

sperry 2008-08-04 03:40 PM

I love me a Crunch bar... but Krackel is better.

Nick Koan 2008-08-04 03:40 PM

I also don't really like Hershey's chocolate either, except for the special dark. Their milk chocolate tastes like they use way to much cocoa butter and sugar, and not enough cocoa powder. Makes it just taste like a sugar bar, rather than a chocolate bar.

But that's why they make the Dark's as well. So you can pick the level of sugar you'd like per bite on your way to a diabetic coma!

Toblerone FTMFW

But I will eat either of the others.

Crispy M&Ms are like inverse Crunch bars... at least in ratio of crunch to chocolate...

I approve this message.

M3n2c3 2008-08-04 08:36 PM

Krackle for me. . . I don't care for Nestle chocolate

My fav chocolate is those 1lb+ bars that Trader Joes sells. I buy maybe one/year and make it last as long as possible. :P

MattR 2008-08-05 05:30 AM

Well, we've solved nothing.

cody 2008-08-05 07:20 AM

I don't think I've had a Krackle but if they offer it in a dark version, I'm in. I don't like milk chocolate. Sometimes I buy giant bars of dark chocolate (Ghiradeli or Trader Joes) and just break off a piece periodically.

Go outside fat-ass is ahead by 3 votes!

100_Percent_Juice 2008-08-05 11:29 AM

I gave my vote to crunch because it was down a vote. Dismantle the machine.

MattR 2008-08-05 01:45 PM

It looks like GO Outside fatass has a huge lead. I suppose it's all over.

Nick Koan 2008-08-05 01:59 PM

Damn, even if you add the chocolate eaters together, its still one less than the "Go Outside" crew.

AtomicLabMonkey 2008-08-05 04:02 PM

Sorry dude, Go outside fat-ass bought my vote on the way into the polling station with a Crunch bar.

I think this photo says it all about Crunch (and Krackle) bars.

Where I work there is a basket at the front desk with a nearly constant supply of mini candy bars of various sorts like Reeses, Snickers, Almond Joy, Crunch, etc. Guess what is always the last to go. Even the regular milky hersheys is gone before Crunch.

Nick Koan 2008-08-06 08:26 AM

I see a Baby Ruth in there. Test not conclusive.

I would eat every one of those waxy chocolate Crunches before that one BabyRuth. Not that BabyRuths are bad, it's just that Crunches are still pretty good.

It was consumed shortly after the photo was taken. Breakfast of champions

Is there a dark chocolate version of Crunch/Krackle out there? That would be pretty good I bet.

Agreed on all counts.

This is totally unsurprising.

On an unrelated note. After working in England for a couple weeks I developed an addiction to Snickers. They were the only 'home' food that wasn't strangely different over there.

Snickers dominates all other candies. FEAST!

I nudged it over 50% even though I hate the term 'fat ass'.

I'm eating a full size Crunch bar right now.

It's fucking delicious.

Dean 2008-08-07 03:41 PM

Actually, my preference for a chocolate and crispies candy bar is the Nestles $100,000 or $100 Grand bar... The addition of caramel to the chocolate crispy goodness is the holy trinity of candy bars...

And before you get all offended, Baby Jebus approves this message... :P
