How does your car drive up here at elevation with that 18g?
|
Flat 4 was our club in Vegas. We all met at in n out, They had a huge parking lot there. Plenty of room. I miss my friends! They have sponsorships from EDO, the car dealerships, we did group meets down to the time attack in rosamond. We are a really close knit group there. I will be seeing my buddies at the meet on thursday when I drive down. I can't freakin wait!!! I'm glad there is a flat 4 here now. The offer was given to me to start it but I don't have the experience. or the car at the time.

Welcome!

Hell yeah!!!! WOOHOOO!
mmm spread. |
I don't know... I think it is kind on impolite to be the new guy in town and not try and build on what the existing local Subaru community is already doing.
I have nothing against Flat4 and have been to a meet or two when I was in LV for a while to check it out. Why not just come and participate with the existing Reno Subaru club? Maybe we just aren't cool enough? |
It's not like that. The flat4 guys wanted to branch out. Nothing wrong with that, right? And since more and more of us keep coming up here we wanted to make another chapter. Anyone that wants to come please go to flat4lv.com and post up in the roll call section, show our vegas guys we support.
|
Maybe we could be friends!!! But we will be going tonight so we can talk about it then!

"Most people in reno are DOUCHEBAGS and I look forward to hanging with some real peeps again"..way to go!. I've been a member on Flat4 since that site went up years ago, great site, but it will always be a local Las Vegas board... I haven't posted there in ages, but it seems like a really active group. Is flat4 primarily for Subaru owners? or is it a mix of everything now? BTW, I know you guys are new in town, but there have been MAJOR issues with Police at that In-n-out in relation to car clubs in recent years. I would suggest speaking to the manager before you try and assemble there. Same goes for the parking lot across the street. |

SECCS has nothing but love for the Flat4 folks, and we're plenty happy to have you guys join up here and participate. Hell, if you don't like the way we do things, there's no one here saying "our way is the only way". We're plenty open to mixing things up if it's in the best interest for our members. But it's just not cool for you guys to essentially show up on our board and use it to try to start a competing club. |
That thing you just described about friends helping everyone out, is exactly what he have had going here for years. Everyone is more than happy to have the vegas people here but I just don't see the point of having multiple car clubs for the same car in the same town.

unless you have a guilty conscience, my douchbag statement was not about people on this forum. I am all for the joining of the groups. Flat4 has chapters everywhere. When we came out here the leaders told us to start something up! So that's all I am trying to do. And we have all kinds of people that come to the F4 meets there. It's about everyone.
|
The Leaders! do you guys drink kool-aid!
|
let just get all the drama out the way and chill your spot your time... i dont want no drama.. In and Out is a tradition but i will not have any disrespect for the seccs i want to merge the two if thats ok with you guys?
|
you should try some! The would be the moderators, the people that do the big things. You guys have leaders lol. or should we call them motivators. whatever helps you sleep at night.
|
personally when we were meeting at nnout for the evo group, there were like all of three parking spots available.

it's not supposed to be DRAMATIC it's just a minor thing doods. We all like the same things, cars. So. Let's just stop and appreciate our diversity for a second.
|
I don't think anyone views themselves as a leader here. Sure there are members who started the club, run the site, organize the events, etc. They are more like public servants that give of their time to benefit the rest of us and I think that is what makes this club so attractive. In n Out is a great tradition for Vegas just like Reno has their own tradition. Variety is the flavor of life.

Late in the year he then ordered his flock to commit suicide by drinking grape-flavored Kool-Aid laced with potassium cyanide. In what is now commonly called "the Jonestown Massacre", 913 of the 1100 Jonestown residents drank the Kool-Aid and died. " :alien: |

I was not trying to alienate you and your friends from LV. I welcome you to join us.
I completely understand if you did not know we existed, but clearly you did once you decided to post on our web site. Clearly you know Mare, and she knew about us... I invite you to come to our meet and check us out. if you don't like us, do your own thing. Just realize that there is an established group that already has good relations with vendors, shops, other racing clubs, tracks, law enforcement, etc... here in Reno. Why would you want to exert the energy to try an recreate that and dilute the community as a whole? Heck, at some point, we even discussed changing our name to something other than SECCS. If there is enough interest in doing so from all parties, maybe that happens. "Flat SECCS" "4 SECCS" "SECCSy FLAT 4" :) |
Yeah. so the "public servants" anyway. And yeah, everyone knows not to drink the koolaid. I still think some people should tho. Like those mentioned in my rants and raves, yeah. Which would also be said douchebags I was speaking of. And I am the one that called them the leaders, that is how I feel. They have more experience than me and they guide me along on my path of becoming a well seasoned Autox driver.
|
Damn! That's what I was trying to get at the whole time. I say FLAT4SECCS.. haha! good one. lols! it's dirty, I like it!
|
I'm cool if you guys want to hate on me tho. Mr. Monkey seems particularly fond of that.

But seriously. |
Anyways. See you doods there! I got shit to do. Hopefully everyone will be chill by then.

Yeah for merging! Now that we all smelled eachother's butts and established a pecking order. :P
