Handgun ammo doesn't exist anymore?
 

Someone please to explain where I can get some freakin 9mm ammo? It seems peoples ignorance is fueling a nationwide shortage of most handgun ammo. I can't even find ammo online! I just want to shoot some shit! I can't find it ANYWHERE.

Uhh, where have you looked? Big5, Sportsman's Warehouse, Cabela's, SHEELS, Mark Fore & Strike, Walmart. There are a ton of places that sell ammo and what you're looking for will be at one of those places.

We are right in the middle of the largest ammo/component shortage in recent memory. Due to a combination of low supply and increased demand. Even if you find some, good luck on swallowing the prices.

Yea, I know what you're saying. I was just talking to my dad about this today. We have a few handguns and wanted to go shooting this weekend but he cant find ammo anywhere. I came in here hoping that somebody would post where to find some. I went to cabela's today and they had some, but not as much as we needed. Just go to a gun shop. or when the gun show comes again. just stock up there. thats what we do.

The Reno show is here now. Have fun waiting in line, it stretched out to the deli counter outside of the entrance friday.

There is a shortage everywhere. All the gun-toting rednecks here in Missouri are having conniptions because some form of hunting season is coming soon and they can't get ammo. I for one couldn't care less.

I haven't been able to find readily available 40S&W in months. A couple weeks ago, I was lucky to find two boxes at Wal-Mart. http://www.ammoman.com used to also be a good source of ammo but recently they are 100% out. I would keep checking ammoman daily or call stores (Sportsman's Warehouse, Cabela's, etc) to find out when the next shipment is coming in.

Maybe this is related to the paranoia that Obama will try to take guns away..... so everyone is gathering up ammo like a bunch of crazed chipmunks storing up for the winter. Shit now IM paranoid if ammo is so hard to come by now..... however with all the guns being carried around down here by the gangbangers I can probably find it laying around the wal-mart parking lot.

At a couple places I went to I asked if it was the same this time last year (already knowing the answer) and no of course it wasn't. People are fucking retarded.

Also, scheels is limiting customers to 2 boxes per purchase.

You said you haven't been able to find it ANYWHERE. So I posted some places that it was actually at and then you found it as Scheels. I don't see what the problem is.

The problem is I CAN'T FIND IT ANYWHERE. This includes every single place you listed. I appreciate you trying to help, but I wouldn't come here without checking elsewhere first. Yeah places get it on a weekly basis, but it's gone within the hour. OR Wal Mart gets 10 cases of ammo and one person will come in an buy it all. Scheels is limiting people to 2 boxes per purchase, that doesn't mean they actually had shit.

Dude. It really has dried up. Whenever any store gets a shipment in, the word spreads by cell phone and the stock is gone by the end of the day....the OP wasn't joking about anomalous supply issues.

I just picked up two boxes of 9mm at Scheels, and they still had quite a bit left, but I bet it's gone by the end of the day. They also had plenty of 40...

Yes they had maybe 12-15 small boxes, not a lot. They do have their 2 box rule, but if you go pay and then go back upstairs, they don't take your name or anything, so they have no real way to enforce their limit. You can get 2 more. The guy opening the case will hand you two.
