Want to Buy: A wishlist
So, as the title says, there are a few things that I'd like to buy for my car and I'm hoping that some of you guys have them around, because I'd rather buy from you. ^_^
So, I WTB: a rear sway bar Rims (Found) An iPod compatible head unit Maybe some speakers Lightweight pullies and maybe a spare set of cams to have a spare so I can send my originals to Delta. But, it is just a wishlist because I am a poor college student. That's not to say I'm not at all interested, so let me know if you've got any of these parts around. I'm also willing to pay with ice cream on top of money. Jake (My car is a base model 2008 Impreza 2.5i) |
ive got a set of rota torque wheels with tires tht im selling.
|
I've got a set of ADR Cyphers on my car that I wanted to upgrade from. They're 18x7.5, but a little tore up. I curbed them a couple times, and slammed into a curb after sliding on ice and bent one. The clear coat is coming off a lil bit, but I still think they look good. I'm still rockin em haha. I'll take pics or you can check them out in person if you want.

Sedona: Unfortunately, I dont have $1200 to spend on rims and wheels although they do look smexy. :(

At the end of this autox season, I hope to be selling my 17X7.5 Enkei RP02's, all 6 of them for like $500 with whatever is left on the RE01R's on 4 and old burnt out RT615's on 2. They're a couple pounds lighter than Rotas in the same size.
We'll see how money is though. My goal is to rock light 17X8 wheels with Starspecs in 245/40/17 or similar. |

Thanks guys. ^_^ And much thanks to Andy!
Does anyone happen to have a spare exhaust tip laying around? |
A spare exhaust tip? Like from kragen or something?
|
Like something they can weld onto a Muffler delete pipe.
|
You still interested in that catpipe to use for uel's? If you're gonna get uel headers you should get the catpipe to at least stay smoggable IMO, but I dunno how tough it is to pass smog here cuz I'm registered in Carson
|
I'm probably not gonna be getting the UELs because I dont want to lose the power... I love the sound, but I need the horsepower. Every single one counts. :P
|
no problem jake! anything to help out!
|
Smog in Washoe county is easy. As long as your car is OBD II and you have no CELs your solid. Pre OBD II there is a sniffer test so I can't say how easy that is but after 97 it became very very easy to pass.

Yeah, like Scott said, I got denied on my 04 STi w/accessport because I'd reset the ecu too soon prior to the test. If the ECU hasn't had enough time to run some of it's own diagnostic checks, the emissions test is able to pick up on that. It doesn't "fail" you but they say it is unable to be tested at this time. Usually needs 30-40 miles of driving on it to complete from what I've read.
|
ohok well cuz i did that (im not trying to fight) but i disabled acouple codes and i passed just fine and im stage 2 with tgv delet all that stupid worthless shit

Just because you turned off some CELs doesn't mean that you hacked the monitors to return "passed". It just means that your car legitimately passed those tests. |
the guy pluged a thing into the obd2 port and it took like a min for a test and it said pass so i bounced i know i didnt make it pass im just saying i passed
|
im done all this is going to do is turn into a fight cuz im just saying i passed and sorry if i miss understud u
|
You are the one turning it into a fight. He never said you didn't pass, he explained what it takes to pass smog. You had no CELs and all your readiness monitors were good to go so you passed. You are one of the most argumentative people on this forum.
|
to me it sounded like he was saying i haked the computer to say i passed

sorry:( (walking away with head down)

You can't have CELs, but you can have one unset monitor. That's how I got the RS to pass the day before I left for Hawthorne- somehow I managed to get about 60 miles on it between connecting the battery after the swap and the P0420 cycle finished. Usually that one finishes before the evap canister monitor does (at least on my wagon, which is the same model year) so I was pretty lucky there. I also got the blue coupe I had to smog with just 12 miles on it after a DeltaDash code reset once. That didn't suck, since it was throwing intermittent P0420 thanks to the header back then.
