Where can I buy rubber stripping?

Like this, or something similar:

I have some used JDM side strakes being painted and the rubber stripping on them is a bit worn and I'd like to replace it. Also, what would I attach it to the strake with?

I think I asked this question a while ago and I don't think anyone said where to get it. I am also interested in this. Post back here if you find the answer elsewhere.

Some Auto Paint shop might carry them. I use to get a roll of 3M 2 faces tape from the one on S. Rock between Gas station and Baldini's.

I'll be sure to check them out this weekend, thanks!

I have a used strip off of an old sideskirt. It doesn't have adhesive but is in okay shape. Just let me know if you want it

JoeWRX 2010-11-03 07:46 PM

Alright, can I get back to you next week on that?

I read on nasioc a while back that people use garage door liner from home depot or lowes to make lips like that. You know, the stuff at the bottom of the garage door. IIRC, they used either 3M tape or screws (?) to hold it on.

Wrong thing Rob. He is talking about the gray strip between the body parts.

My bad

I think glass shops have that stuff if I can remember correctly..

Well, I bought a thing of 1/2" wide, 1/4" thick and 20' long silicone weatherseal, teardrop style, from Home Depot and I kinda fabbed it up to work I cut point of the tear drop so I could kinda fold it over both sides of the thing and thinned out the width. It looks OK, I didn't do the greatest cutting job but it's better than nothing, and I figured I'll be taking them off for winter anyways so I can hopefully find something better for when the weather gets nice again. The brand is Frost King
