You could have your own special meet at 6 :P

tysonK 2006-01-12 09:06 PM

I already do bitch.

Ezdno 2006-01-26 11:21 PM

Man I missed the meet again, signing kids up for baseball and softball takes so much time....I could have used a beer too!

ScottyS 2006-01-27 11:28 AM

Dang, I missed out on JC? Sorry dude!

MattR 2006-02-02 03:34 PM

So I will have Reno SCCA Autocross schedules to hand out at the meet tonight if anyone is interested. They are the pocket sized ones.

sti deede 2006-02-02 03:54 PM

I wanna go so bad..... but I don't think that I'll make it in time.
I have to leave work pack and drive up. (pack is the quick part).

*eek bites nails* decisions.

sti deede 2006-02-02 05:03 PM

OK ..... I'm on my way.... should be there around 7:30. :) See you guys there.

Dean 2006-02-16 01:00 PM

I hope we get our room tonight... I am brining DVDs of both Monte Carlo, and Sweden WRC!!! 1/2 hour preview, and 1/2 hour for each of the 3 days each... 4 hours total...

Maybe I'll just bring my PC and plug into the TV so we can easily skip the boring stuff. We could also watch my Launa Seca video that way. :)

A1337STI 2006-03-23 05:11 PM

Is there a meet tonight at bullys? 7:00 ?? how late does everyone hang out until ? I'm headed down to placerville and strangly i think heading up to 49 and 80 over may be a fun detour on the way home...

Is today Thursday? Does the 1st post say "meet Thursdays, 7pm, Bully's on Robb Drive"?

I'm gonna go with, "There's a meet today, 7pm, Bully's on Robb Drive". :P

People are usually around till about 9pm... longer if it's not too cold.

A1337STI 2006-03-24 09:07 AM

...

M3n2c3 2006-03-24 10:47 AM

It was too cold. :P

Joeyy 2006-03-30 08:40 PM

Sorry that I could not stay longer but my leash is only so long. Good to see you all. Later D-

MattR 2006-03-30 09:13 PM

Good meet tonight, I was happy to see such a good turnout given the marginal weather. It was nice to meet some of the new members...You guys will have a blast at Autocross this weekend, see you there.

A1337STI 2006-03-30 10:03 PM

I need to make one of these meets, thursday is just a really bad day for me until after the snowboarding season is over. i'm still at work :(

tysonK 2006-03-30 10:30 PM

Does everyone that joins up and goes to meets have to own an STi, damn.

A1337STI 2006-03-30 10:35 PM

Nah i don't think they even require you to have a suby i have some spare STI fog light covers, we can just slap them on your car and call it good 2 go :)
would there be any interest in a monday/friday meet ? maybe at that famous cheese steak place in truckee ? :)

Turbo charging the RS 2.5 liter is bad I hear, can't hold boost as well as the STi 2.5s or something.

Kevin M 2006-03-31 10:11 AM

You can reliably boost a stock EJ251, but it's pretty limited as far as how much you can get out of it. But with just an STi/FXT/LGT block swap, the ceiling for the motor goes way up. And either way, it's all about engine management and knowing when to say when. ;)

Well, part of it is simply that it's a N/A motor, so the compression is too high to handle a lot of boost. Also, the RS's 2.5 is an open deck, so it's not as strong as the STI's semi-closed deck.

And there you have it.

MPREZIV 2006-03-31 10:37 AM

There's no way I'd turbo this block. I'd much rather swap it and have factory turbo car reliability. I still need to drive that bitch to work too!

:concur:

Don't bitch about being the slowest. . . I've got an extra 500lbs on you and zero power mods.

MPREZIV 2006-03-31 11:49 AM

True, true, but I said I'm ALMOST ALWAYS the slowest car on the lot:D

If you made it to more meets... :P

And I don't wanna hear any bitching about "but i live in Dayton..."

A1337STI 2006-03-31 12:33 PM

Well no more complaints about no turbo for you then :P you don't have a turbo, becuase you don't want to boost on your current block ;)

[music]It's my gas budget, and I'll bitch if I wanna. . .[/music] :D

I missed last night's due to work. :( I needed tuesday off for oil change, harness install, and my wife's monthly "pregnant lady" checkup, and of course saturday for autox. Nothing left for SECCS. Stupid retail. Can I bitch about that?

MPREZIV 2006-03-31 12:47 PM

yes, you can, as I have had a job in retail as well, and the scheduling SUCKS!

Lets have a Go-Kart meet.

Dean 2006-04-23 05:00 PM

I'm game. I like the slick track... I think it is Kevin or maybe Scott that will gripe about the cars, but who cares.

Kevin M 2006-04-23 05:25 PM

The cars aren't nearly as bad as the dicks who were running the place last time we went.

Scott is always a safe bet for griping. I think he has trouble driving the karts with his knees behind his head.
