Muffler shop experience and exhaust pics

If you want the muffler shop story read below, otherwise skip to the pictures of the final product!

So some of you may have read in my first thread that I went to Alert Mufflers to get my custom exhaust done. Well, there was a bend that looked funny so I really poked my head under there and examined it and the whole job was horrible...crappy ugly welds and even worse bends. The whole exhaust was a few inches lower than my stock one and I came really close to scraping on even small speedbumps...

Anyway, I took it back to the shop and the guy who did it (Mark) was a complete A-hole (can we swear here?) and threw a tissy fit when we even mentioned that something looked funny, so we went to LT muffler and brake to have them fix it and they did a very clean job and were really great guys.

So...if you want some exhaust done I would suggest LT muffler and if you do check out Alert, avoid that guy Mark (if he's still there). Sorry for the novel, here's the pics (3" Lachute DP with HFC to custom 3" to 2.25" at the "Y" ending in 2 Magnaflow mufflers and 4" round tips)... a guy at legacygt.com did a quick vid with sound clips, mine sounds similar, check it out here:

Very nice! Where is LT located?

Looks great! Did you get a refund from Alert?

OMG that looks so good!!!! I really like the duel exhaust

I'm glad you got everything worked out, even if you had to go else where

LT is on Harvard (or maybe another street called Linden or something) a few blocks south of plumb... it's called lt mufflers and brakes, but the person I talked to (I think his name is skip) said that they really take pride in their exhuast systems and it showed. They said if I had any problems I wouldn't have to worry about hurting someone's feelings like that bastard at Alert...haha

Anyway, no refund from Alert because I bought the tips/mufflers etc. from them, but the owner is cool and said he'd pick up the tab from LT since his employee was an ass. So, I guess I had a bad experience, but the owner is cool so maybe there's hope for Alert in the future, but I probably will stick with LT myself.

Another Good Muffler Shop

Back when I drove a 96 chevy corsica 3.1 I went to Mr Z's Muffler.

http://www.sounddomain.com/ride/505751

They cut the collector at the bigget part and installer 2 1/2 in pipe a high flow
cat and a magnaflow muffler for close to $400. All the bends and welds were clean and it had a great sound. They did this in one day with an appointment.
I was really satisifed with their work and would recomend them to anyone.

Maybe a mod could put this write up in the Vendor Review Forum.

Thanks for the input.
