Austin, you are ridiculous.

GusGus91 2011-10-13 11:22 PM

Dont judge how I live my life.

bigrobwoot 2011-10-14 07:33 AM

If you drill some holes so I can use them on 5x100 hubs, I'll take 'em.

100_Percent_Juice 2011-10-14 07:55 AM

Rob! Don't tell him how to live his life.

Just quoting cause I love how they look on your car, and don't think you should part with them. Just saying, it's a nice, clean, fresh look.

Don't confuse getting bored with being indecisive. I swear you better not replace them with 10" wide rotas. But, don't think I'm telling you what to do or anything.

GusGus91 2011-10-15 01:58 AM

I was thinking like 10" wide Volks or gram lights..

GusGus91 2011-10-17 03:40 PM

Herrafrush.. But at least it's not herra frush Rotas :)

sedonabugeye 2011-10-17 04:20 PM

hey! whats wrong with herrafrush rotas?!!

GusGus91 2011-10-17 05:38 PM

Everybody has them. :)

Kevin M 2011-10-17 10:11 PM

If you're going herrafrush, go with Rotas. Volks and GramLights are for real cars.

For "real" cars? Care to explain?

I think spending $30k on a car, is considered a "real" car. Excuse me for not wanting to follow the Rota trend anymore and wanting quality parts... Plus I really dont think wheels with a +38 offset is going to be super herrafrush.

A1337STI 2011-10-18 09:14 AM

I think he means to imply the Volks and GramLights are Racing rims, versus being show car rims.

I think he means "real cars" are those that aren't hellaflush. So, a $300,000 Ferrari stops being a "real" car if it's slammed so hard with pulled fenders and low offset wheels to the point where it can't drive around a parking lot, let alone a racetrack.

Personally, I love a car that's low and has massive wide tires on it. But as soon as you're so low, so wide, or so "flush" that the handling starts to suffer, you're wasting your time and money. So, like Kevin said, if you're trying to go low (both height and offset) just for looks and ruin the handling of the car, might as well save your money and get Rotas and some cheap/shitty tires. No point in nice, light wheels if you can't really drive on them.

IheartSTI 2011-10-18 09:20 AM

i got some volk te37 super laps for you! i am bored of them already and they only been on my car since saturday!

why not go with a higher quality part rather than a lesser quality part if you can afford it right?

if you have rotas your not cool because you have knockoffs of a cool wheel. if you have volks you shouldn't have them because your car is not cool enough.

i really dont care either way. i have had 5 sets of volks now and 3 sets of rotas and either way considered to have a "real car".

Austin i say ditch the enkie and go with whatever it is brand and size that makes you happy

Agreed. thats why i put a little flair on my fenders so i can have a decent size tire/wheel and still not need to run 27 degrees of chamber

sedonabugeye 2011-10-18 09:29 AM

I'd have a set of volks or Advans if I could afford them. Sam is right. Get what makes you happy Gus. Don't blame
You for wanting away from the rota band wagon, but I'll
Still be on it for a while.
Lol

Yea, and that I understand, but I'm not the type of person to go super low, pull my fenders and throw a ton of camber on there with a stretched tire on there... I'm like you when I say I like big wide wheels and tires do enjoy having a good handling car, and that's why I've thrown all the suspension stuff on the car, got a wide wheel, and got a grippy 265 series tire. And that's what I was planning on doing with these new wheels.. Wasnt going to go slammed and stretch a 225 series tire on there. It's just that most of these wheels that are 18x9.5-10" do have an offset that's +22 to +35, so yea they're gonna stick out of the fenders a bit, but I'm not looking to make my car un-driveable and stupid. I mean my car by all means is not a show car.. I drive the damn thing.

100_Percent_Juice 2011-10-18 10:56 AM

I remember like it was yesterday when you bought the car and said "I'm not gonna touch this car, it will be my daily driver" you have the mod-itis real bad.
