Sierra Gold is kind of expensive, but it is good. Are they less crowded at night than during lunch hours?

We have members that struggle to afford $10/week for Bully's food. A beer and a burger at Sierra Gold is like $25 + tip... so while it's a nice place, it's too expensive. Plus, that place is *always* busy somehow... so even if they reserve us a spot, there's no parking.

...oh, and SG is actually just an upscale Sparky's, they're owned by the same company.

25 bucks a week is bull!

No wonder we haven't moved the meet yet.

Dean 2007-01-10 02:16 PM

Yeah, I think you need to be able to get a burger, fries and a bottomless soda with tip for right about $10 or under for it to be a viable option.

You could find a pizza joint with a party room. But then you'd be fighting soccer and little league teams for space.

Scott, you sure Cue and Cushion is too small?

It's been years since I've been over there (C&C on Keystone, right?)... but my memories of the place were trying to find parking for like 6 cars with only one open spot, and trying to cram into a dank, dark, smoky room.

But speaking of pool... for a while we were meeting at the place under the National Bowling Stadium (is that a C&C as well?). The parking garage there was awesome (and out of the weather), the food wasn't great, but it wasn't terrible either. There were plenty of games (even mini-bowling). What sucked was that they usually had like 1 server who was pissed off having to deal w/ 15-20 people when they normally had like 3 people in there per night, so service was slow and angry at us.

That is C&C under the Bowling Stadium (or whatever that is). MY girlfriend knows the manager there. It's pretty nice, but I've never eaten there. They make a mean Irish Car Bomb! :P

Well with a $10 buy in and a group of 10+ thats pretty much what its reduced to. Unless everyone wants to get a party sub and sit at the park on the swing set.

The increased prices suck
For a Piazza Chicken with buffalo chips its $10.50, it was $9.00. Bully Burgers are over $10. Sodas doubled in price from $1.25 to $2.50.

MattR 2007-01-22 07:23 PM

yeah, i noticed things got expensive there...

You guys should check out Legends on S Virginia. That place is good eatin.

MPREZIV 2007-01-23 07:59 AM

Yeah WTF!? Bully's has done some serious price jacking all of a sudden! $10.25 for a Bully burger!?

The time to find somewhere else has definitely come... I'm down for some "pre-meets" to scope out some new places if anybody has any suggestions.

JonnydaJibba 2007-01-23 08:22 AM

I was wondering why we were short last week... Is Bully's starting to think that it's like, a real restaurant?

Well, they gotta make up the losses from the smokers that go to the casinos somehow, right?

100_Percent_Juice 2007-01-23 09:58 AM

As I said earlier I would totally be down to scope out a place but I most likely can never go on tues and thursday. If its on a mon, wed, fri then my friends can also come.

knucklesplitter 2007-01-23 10:18 AM

Let's give Legends a try, but parking may be an issue.

M3n2c3 2007-01-23 10:22 PM

Is thurs still going to be at Bully's this week?

GC8.Love 2007-01-23 10:39 PM
