Don't worry I learned my lesson. Plastic food leaves bite marks.
Plus Marrisa's pear was like $4.00 to replace, that's outrageous for food you can't digest.

Sorry you didn't get to go snowboarding. But welcome to the aged glasses wearing geezers club... For some reason, that seams approriate for a birthday.

I don't need glasses..... Unless I want to be able to read/drive/watch TV... For the really important suff, all you need is your sense of touch and taste anyway.

Whatever you do, don't get glasses through your doctor... Much better deals to be had elsewhere...

sperry 2005-01-14 03:09 PM

That sucks Eric... :( but at least you held out longer than most people!

As far as not getting glasses through the doctor, mine were a whopping $10 IIRC. It's called insurance Dean, you should get some! Hell, this year I paid for new lenses out of pocket (since I used my insurance to buy contacts that I never wear) and it was still under $100.

Dean 2005-01-14 03:31 PM

Bet you could have paid a lot less for the lenses...

Yes, I have insurance, and if they pay for all the bells and whistles, great. But most have a limit, which leaves you eating the extra for the cool frames, and the good anti-glare coating...

I paid under $90 for a set of Polycarbonate Polarized sun lenses for an old set of frames I had before Christmas. Good luck getting anything polarized from your doctor's office for under $100.

Debbie saves a fortune on contacts buying them elsewhere.

I just ordered *two* replacement sunglass clips for my glasses. Polarized (one's amber, the other smoke). $60.

Clips are not ground. I'm talking single vision perscription Polarized Polycarbonate... And maybe you have the one non-price gouging in office optical centers in the world. Most are a rip off.
