So is that paint on the car or is it scraped in to your bumped. If it's paint you should remove it use some rubbing compound, then it would look fine again. unless of course your using it for litigation purposes.

U53D 2005-07-20 07:13 AM

rubbing compound eh? ill have to use some of that hehe. THANKS DEEDE!!!!!!!!!!@12!@

Warning when using it. It will remove paint... that includes your paint, so I'd recommend a fine grit. You could ask Scott, he seems to have all kinds of good knowledge about that stuff. I learned a bunch helping him wax the WRX.
The kind that I have comes in a dish, like wax and is red clay colored. Good luck. If you want I'll be up this weekend and I could help you take the paint off. PM me if your interested.
:)

Nice! License should read "ITSANSTI" though.

Too many letters smarty pants.......NV plates can only carry 7 characters. Other than that you're right. Grammar wise still wrong!

Plus he wanted a licence plate that was a palindrome, the N would ruin it

I guess when so many people pick on me for garmar I dont understand why anyone would say its "an" STi when clearly everything I learned would say it's "a" STI?

Hmm. very intersting Mike. "S" pronounced "es" .....which one is it. Great now my afternoon is toast contemplating this.

I too was scratching my head on this one. If "STI" begins with an "S" then shouldn't "a" be the correct term?

Let's examine the following examples:

A sorbet is refreshing between courses.

A school usually has a library.

A STI is a fast car.

Why does "an" STI sound better??? Because we prounonce it "es tee eye?"

I need more coffee!

Nick Koan 2005-07-21 01:01 PM

Its the problem with acronyms.

If you pronounce it a 'sty', then a STi is just fine.
If you pronounce it as an 'ess tee eye', then you need to use 'an'

Since the verbal pronounciation of 's' is pronounced 'ess', it need the 'an' instead of 'a'.

Have you ever seen a snake with an STD sipping a soda on an STi sending a snapshot of a scorpion to an SVT.

sti deede 2005-07-21 01:37 PM

Maybe the grammer fairies won't get angry if you use an "a" on the license plate.

MikeK 2005-07-21 02:32 PM

This thread makes me laugh at your awesome american engrish

sti deede 2005-07-21 02:37 PM
