What do you think....
1 Attachment(s)
....of this hood
Any ideas or coments |
I think it's really sweet looking, but I would only run a hood like that if a had a body kit
|
I dig it Mike.

Rice.

mebbe its my imagination, but the side mirrors look tiny in comparison to the rest of the body...
|
Debbie: the mirrors on the car are carbon fiber also (and are very small)
sperry & AtomicLabMonkey: are you saying its rice "rice" or could you see it better if you knew I would paint it to match the rest of the car? and also do something about the grills? |

I think its pretty damn tight... Id rock it.

That is a sick ass hood I have all ready been in contact with Seibon they seen easy to do business with. :D
|
looks like someone had one set of 22b vents and one leftover... so they split it between both sides...

1) Unpainted C/F 2) Decals all over it 3) Needless vents/grilles all over it 4) There is no number 4. Having it painted might help. I actually like the way the front bodywork looks on that car, and the air dam looks like it would actually be functional on track... if it weren't for the enormous hole cut in the front of it. |
Its all about unpainted CF.

2) It's a show car... hell even race cars are covered in decals. Decals = money at that level... i.e. this isn't just some dude's ride 3) Turbo motor = retarded hot. Those grills/holes used to be *stock* on the '98-'01 body style, albeit not so big... check out a rally car's hood! And what "enormous" hole are you talking about? The one that cools the radiator, or the ones for the brake ducting? :P All that said. It's still rice. Pay $2000 for a C/F hood that's not hardly lighter than the stock aluminum hood is a waste. You want a non rice hood with the above advantages, then get a sawsall and cut some heat evacuation vents in the stocker. That's not rice. |
Under all that is a Silver STi...Hmmmm? I think it looks sweet, I like the front lip, very BTCC

2. No decals required for easy install 8) 3. Yes, thier are more vents than needed but with a short ram intake on the passanger side air flow should be great hehe cold short ram :D 4. I just don't know how to respond and thx for the concerns :D |

Oh and Prodrive *does* make that wire grill you're talking about, specifically for downforce: [img:643c3af538=600]http://store1.yimg.com/I/fastwrx_1776_3199627[/img:643c3af538] |

And those wire grilles are sweet! |

$1000 put into other parts will buy you a whole lot more speed than that hood will.

Then your wing is Scott cause were you saying that you have never gone over 120. I guess that wing is just there for looks I guess your part of the rice crew. I might have put stuff on my car to make it look better and I dont think its rice at all.

If you spend say 2,000$ on a hood, then paint it causing the hood to weight slightly less then the stock, that could be considered rice. As for Scott, I am shooting a guess out here, but I would assume that his new wing also weighs less then the stock wing, which is a weight benefit from the start. As for aerodynamics and that wing, I have no clue at what speed makes it a benefit. |
