Summit Mini-Meet on the 22nd
 

Just wanted to see if anyone else is going to go to Summit Racing on the 22nd to check out the SCCA Auto-X stuff. Dknv said she was going to show up around 11 am if I remember correctly. But there will be SCCA people there at 9 AM.

I was thinking around 11:00 to and I will be there this time with my car. How long does it take to get your SCCA card back I sent it in the 1st of the month.

I sent mine in when I bought my car, and got it back in about 3 weeks. Then I went and got it laminated :D :lol:

I might show up. I still need to join SCCA, but I think I'll join at the 1st AutoX event, since that way I'll be sure to get my entry fee discount. If I sign up at Summit, I may not get my SCCA card fast enough...

Last year, I think it took 6 weeks for my card to arrive.

If you've sent in a membership app & haven't gotten it back before an event, and you have some evidence that you sent it in, we'll probably honor the discount if you let us know 'its in the mail'. I'll be working at registration again this year with Schelley and Carol so come find me.

When i bought my car three weeks ago, I sent it in and it only took them a week and a half to send me my card.

Well I hope it gets here but if not I will still be there.

I wont be able to make it saturday, but can someone grab me a copy of rules and regs, or whatever literature their handing out, i would appreciate it.

Well, I am going to be at Summit around 11 am. Hope to see everyone there at some point.

Today was a excellent meet. A few people showed up, 'The Lude', 'ZERO26D', 'dcfc03', 'dknv', and myself. But we did see 4 other WRX's there and gave them all directions to this webpage.

I have over 100 pictures taken today, so it will be a little bit before i post them.

The most surprising part of the day was when a Corvette Z06 owner (and auto-x'r) ran his corvette off the road, onto a curb and into a light post. He pretty much totalled his suspension and front end. Sad. :cry:

Crap, sorry I missed you guys!

I slept in till noon today, and then hit the gym for some raquetteball w/ my roommate, so I didn't make it over to Summit.

That Z06 driver sounds like a tool... he must have been trying to show off if he found a way to wreck in front of Summit. :roll: Save it for the track dumbass! Now you're gonna miss the start of the season, and have to drop cash on you car.

Funny thing is is that he had a SCCA trophy in his trunk. This guy has been to plenty of auto-x's since he had roll-bars and stuff in his vette. He was just being a dumbass. And he learned his leason. :P

It was great to see you all there today! Can't wait til we're running a course together, can't wait to see how your cars do.

Re: the Z06 -- omg -- was it the black one with the license plate 'z06 02'? If so, what happened? That guy is a really good driver.

He pulled out of summit and started racing down the street, fish-tailed a little bit. He then proceeded to hit the curb and run over a light fixture. He then stopped, put it in reverse and backed right back into the light fixture.

He seemed pissed later, but look at the pics, thats him.

Its because I haven't loaded them yet. Still in the process of either making them smalled or sending them to Sperry. Should be done by tonight.

I didn't mean to sound like I wanted to "get to work on it", I just thought the server was acting funny with images or something. Take your time loading them, we are in no hurry here.
