New weekly Meet location?
 

Hey all...I have some news, but your opinions are needed..

We all know how crowded the Tide has been getting lately during our thursday night meets., both inside and in the parking lot.

Question...DO we want to move the meet location?
I found a potentially great new location for the meet, and also spoke to the manager about weekely meets of our size.

Location : Bully's Meadowood., This is the new Bullys Sports Bar and Grill located on the west side of Meadowood Mall in Reno

The manager seems very willing to reserve us some space each week, give us access to VCR and DVD and TV's. plenty of space to ourselves, and, best of all, lots of good parking.

So, Do we want to move? If so, should we try it this week March 4th, Thursday? Or wait a week.

I personally think we will have no problem getting it switched over , and having some more room would be great. So please vote and/or voice your opinion. I would like to give the manager a call to let him know yes or no.

AnswerI think the new location could be good. I will give us even more room to expand. I mean the meets are getting kinda big now. It's nice to have room for everyone to at least park, if they don't decide to eat and hang out. Plus i could get chinese food from the flaming wok if I don't feel like BUlly's..mmmmm.

I got to support my roommates Film Society Screening.

I think we could definately use more room. The Mall's good because we'll have plenty of lit parking, plus having the back room w/ a TV, etc will rock! Plus, as was mentioned, the mall will give us other outlets for food and shopping.

The biggest drawback is that we might get some unwanted attention from Mall security, but as long as we're behaving ourselves as we normally do, we shouldn't have a problem. If the "ricers" show up w/ something to prove, we'lll just have to ask them to behave for the sake of the group, or get lost, and if they do neither, then we'll just go inside and let them get busted while we eat.

So I'm in for trying the new spot ASAP... what's the point of waiting a week?

I'm in for the new location, would like to keep an eye out for others still as the mall could get bad at times......not to mention once its summer all the teeny boppers will start hanging there and I get enough of that at Art's house :lol:

New location does sounds nice since it has been getting cramped at the Tide. This week then?

How is it that you ALWAYS have jail bait around Art?

I have a highschool roommate. None of them are jailbait, but close enough that you don't want to touch.

I was thinking that we need a new location when I saw how packed the parking lot was at the Tide the last few times I made it. The mall sounds great for reasons already cited and the fact that the restaurant will avail us a room etc. The "networking" done inside at the tide seems limited to who you are sitting next to. Having our own room opens things up.

The only con in moving to the mall is the ricers and other potential punks that may see a bunch of cool cars, and out of jealousy try to start crap with us or damage cars when we are inside. Will we be violating anyone's "turf" by going to the mall? (Not that I give a rat's ass about that).

I vote new place.

But! We do't show up 'til 7 pm, and I don;t think it will be too crowded.

So, Lets plan on Bully's this thursday, and until changed.

Well Last I Read, The TIDE had some BAD reviews .. they found lots of RAT poop !!! :lol:
Hence My not going to the tide.. With as bad of a flu that I had last week who needs to get any worse... lol

so its on...? mall ricers (all those "race-rated" honda's) beware!!

I think its a little closer for all of us now....except Scott...hehe.

It doesnt matter where it is to me, lol, its the same distance regardless.. you guys have no room to complain about how close it is!

It was pretty cool I guess. It will work for now. I wish the 4th turn would open up again.
