Cyprus Rally this weekend?

? <------

Did you guys here that all the WRC team cars and TV equipment is stuck on a ship that can't get to port in the Mediteranean Sea? Bummer. The cars may get unloaded tommorrow, but the drivers have been pre-running in street cars, awesome. Not a whole lot of prep time. Should be an interesting event.

Got the Replay all set to record.

Will bring a DVD or VHS next Thurs.

Remind me to check on Video options at this week's meet.

Thanks Matt... You're a big help. I have a couple suggestions on where you can insert your signature! :P

Yeah, craziness with the cars. Who would rent their cars to these teams...

"Um, yeah... we want to rent some cars to go beat on them for a while."

"Oh yeah, and we'll take the optional insurance"

Nick Koan 2004-05-13 10:27 AM

Here is what each team got.

But whereas Subaru’s drivers used right-hand-drive Isuzu Troopers for Wednesday’s recce, while Citroen’s and Mitsubishi’s used Pajeros, Ford and Peugeot managed to obtain Lancer Evolutions - and only Ford number two Francois Duval had to cope with right-hand drive.
And Citroen is in a hissy fit right now because Ford and Peugeot were able to find LHD Group N cars, rather then crappy RHD SUVs (like everyone else).

Holy crap, I watched some of the rally yesterday and the course looked absolutely brutal... the ruts and rocks were tearing up cars right and left.

Dramarama.

Citroen and Peugeot are going under post-event scrutineering for illegial water pumps. If they are both excluded, then its Martin, Solberg and Hirvonen.

Not much of a "win" but it'll definitely help towards the end of the championship.

Here's the "illegal" water pump: [img:cb2a90e453=600]http://www.tu-berlin.de/fb9/iwawi/Exkursionen/Harz2001/Oker/Kraftwerk%20Okertalsperre%20Turbine.JPG[/img:cb2a90e453]

I see why it might flow too well to be legal.

I will bring DVD and VHS to this week's meet.

I'll also have the SCCA Pro Rally...
