Shrek 2?

Anybody want to go see Shrek 2 tonight, or tomorrow night?

OK, so it's not Kill Bill, or TORQUE :D , but it is supposed to be good.

Riverside is 5:40Pm for cheap seats

Park Lane is 6:00pm even.

I'd vote for 5:40 downtown if people are off work by then... Full price later is OK too.

ArthurS 2004-06-01 02:21 PM

Work till 7 tonight....

BTW everyone. Drive-ins are open and only 4$ tonight for 2 movies. Show time starts at 8:30 or something though

Dammit! Sounds like fun, but I already promised myself that this week was going to be "Hell Week" for my attempt to get back into shape. So, I'll be out running or cycling after work today, and tomorrow.. and pretty much everyday after that for the next 5 to 7 days. :( I figure, it used to work to get preped for the baseball season when I was in High School... maybe it'll work now that I'm getting old and fat.

It probably carries an age multiplier now, like x 1 or 2 months.

Ah, Drive ins work best when it is dark. Riding or running mostly require daylight, so where is the conflict? Work, Excercise for an hour or 2 and then go to the drive in.... You know you want to....

How about I give you a call when I'm done working out, and we'll see where we stand?

Isn't this how relatively young people give themselves heart attacks? Be careful getting back into it!

BTW I am keen to see Shrek again. Is it going to be tonight?

ArthurS 2004-06-01 03:36 PM

Tonight is the 'cheap' night at the drive-ins. I assume we are talking about tonight.

:liljon:

(lol...that still cracks me up)

Dean 2004-06-01 03:39 PM

So far, I'm thinking some time around 8:00 somewhere near El Rancho to meet up and head in, but to be honest, I've never been to El Rancho, so don't know what is around, or what the procedure is.

Here is the Map....

Art?

Edit (by sperry): Dean, learn how to use the [url ] tag already! :P

ArthurS 2004-06-01 03:57 PM

That map is pretty correct. You really can't miss them once you see paradise pond. When you take that right, there is a little parking lot on the right hand side where we can all meet up. I will be there a little earlier then 8 just incase and I can flag anyone down that doesn't see it.

tysonK 2004-06-01 04:19 PM

OMG a meet I can walk to!

I've only had bad experiences with that drive-in but oh well.

ArthurS 2004-06-01 04:29 PM

Sean and Eric said they will probably go also.

What right? Where exactly is this park?Is it $4 per car, or person. Are we all craming into a couple cars, or what? It has been years since I went to the drive-in. Do we need to be earlier to get a good spot? Oh great Art, share your drive-in wisdom with us...

Dean 2004-06-01 05:07 PM

Better Map:

I'm guessing you assumed we would come in from Oddie, and make the right on to El Rancho, and the parking lot would be on the right...

Right?

(Edit by sperry: DEAN, QUIT MAKING THE WINDOW A MILE WIDE!! :P)

ArthurS 2004-06-01 05:10 PM

Thats what I was thinking.

4$ a person.

Should be plenty of spots if we get in at 8:30

Should be fun. I need a bad hot dog and some greasy popcorn to offset Scott's working out. :D

ArthurS 2004-06-01 10:09 PM

Movie was actually really good! There were a lot of ricer's out there, but everyone was being nice. The moon sure pissed me off since it was right above our screen. But pretty good overall. Tyson....we missed yea.

It was good, but the moon and street lights didn't help much. I think I'd pay the extra $1.25-3.50 to see it in a real theatre. The drive in is a bit more social, but not a great place to see a movie IMHO.

yah something came up.

I hope it wasn't too bad Dean, I know the Drive-In can get a bit annoying at times.

Car Radio, but it was a bit fuzzy... We mostly hung out behind Art's Wagon with the tailgate up. Again, for a social event, not bad, but not a great place to see a movie.
