ArthurS 2003-04-08 07:41 PM

Yo man. You can't beat a cement truck. Those things got mad torque.

Just kidding man.

ZER026D 2003-04-08 07:44 PM

Dude I had to post somthing people know I could beat.

ArthurS 2003-04-08 07:47 PM

You can beat me....

My car is slow. And it seems that my boost is only hitting 12 psi ever since I got it back from the dealer. And the Oil temp is up around 195 instead of 180. What the hell could they have done to do this? Or is it just time for a oil change?

ZER026D 2003-04-08 07:55 PM

How many miles do you have? Are you using Mobil1 if not you should every Porche you buy from a dealer comes with a case in the trunk its the best unless you can get Motul witch is hard a fuck to find. Oh they use Mobil1 in the space ship I think if its good for them its good for me and every time I do a oil change my car feels so nice.

ArthurS 2003-04-08 07:57 PM

Yea....I switched to Mobul 1 about 5,000 miles ago. My first oil chnage and switch to synthetic was at 5,500 and its at 9,500 right now. I think I used 5w50. And a fram double-gaurd filter.

ZER026D 2003-04-08 08:09 PM

you meen 15/50 or 5/30?

ArthurS 2003-04-08 08:16 PM

I switched to 5 w 30. Sorry.

khail19 2003-04-08 11:12 PM

I use 0w-30 Mobil 1. Good stuff, and I noticed a substantial improvement in mileage when I switched from Valvoline SynPower 5W-40. SCC used 0W-30 in their project 2.5RS, which was turboed. So I figure it's good enough for my slow ass ride. Oh and the cheapest place to get Mobil 1 is definitely Wal-Mart, in case you guys are buying from auto parts stores. They have all the Fram filters too, including double-guards.

Yeah !! for like 35 bucks!! walmart changes your oil(Mobil 1 Full synthetic) in your car and does a 15 Point Inspection !! To me that's a WINNER!!!!!!!!!

Wait, wait, wait. So, for 35.00$ WalMart will do a synthetic oil change? Most places say around 80$! Either way, I would prefer to change my own oil and filter.

BOO 2003-04-09 02:57 PM

 .. Yeah Dude!! 35 bucks !!! ..your own oil?? how do you change an oil filter/oil ??? Sorry I must seem like the Idiot in the group...
Maybe thats why I dont own a wrx...

ArthurS 2003-04-09 03:03 PM

Well, Scott talked me into getting a fumotovalve www.fumotovalve.com which just drains the oil into a oil pan. You then take a rachet (sp?) to remove the oil filter. Let it all drain, then add a new oil filter and close up the fumotovalve. Then add 5 quarts of mobil 1.

I get the 5w30 at Costco for 25.00$ and the filter for 10.00$. So I can change my own for 35.00$, but I don't get all the other fluids checked. :(

BOO 2003-04-09 03:11 PM

Ohh WOW .. thats awesome!! seems like "BOO" Proof .. umm i mean Sergio Proof  ... and for that price sounds like everyone should get one ... (Granted they change their own oil).. Ohh stupid question, that doesnt void your warantee right??
Ps: Well if you can check your own Fluids and know how to add more when they need it ... then you are set .. I ofcourse dont know what to put into what.. so I need Walmart.. like We need Oxygen

ZER026D 2003-04-09 10:57 PM

I think at sams club its like 24$ a case thats like 3$ a quart.

BOO 2003-04-09 11:02 PM

Sweet !!!.. ..
Ps: So When's the next Meet??? Have you guys decided yet?

ZER026D 2003-04-09 11:17 PM
