The EVO's are cool, excet all the rumours about them having crap horsepower to the wheels. What did they say, 190 whp when the stock wrx gets 178 whp?

And didn't shiv dyno it and com up with like 190 whp also?

Thats why everyone has been so weary about the EVO's. Of course some people have said it gets 240whp. Don't base your decision on me, but you may want to look into it before purchasing.

Have you thought about a Nissan 350Z, Infiniti G35, or wait for the almighty Mazda RX-8 ??!!

Yeah I actually have, but I (This time) want to purchase an AWD Turbo(I miss my GSX) And according to SCC magazine The WHP on the EVO was like 240 on the AWD Dynometer.. thats why I was Contemplating it... but who knows...
Ps: we have been Kind of looking at the 350z..

the review i saw for it on some speed channel review was a little soft. it may have 250 HP but it takes a lot of reving to get it.

Still, it has the mazda handling, and the cool rotary. It looks decent also.

I would probably trade in my WRX if I didn't begin to mod it out.

not to mention the :!: CRAZY :!: doors!

Is that a Volvo!!? My dad rolls a 2000 S80 T6... twin turbo inline 6 FWD, about 240hp IIRC. It's a super nice car, along the lines of a 5 series bimmer. No turbo lag, but it doesn't really feel fast either. I'm sure the motor is well below its potential, tuned for comport and smoothness.

BTW: I'm moving this thread outta "Website News" into "Doink Chat".

Oh, and regarding Shiv's dyno-ing of the EVO coming up with low whp... Shive still *raves* about the EVO. Say's that it constantly feels fast as hell, and is a *dream* to drive.

Sounds very similar to the reviews of the old 22b!!
