FS: 2000 2.5RS Sedan

Car is definitely for sale now, I'm starting a new thread for simplicity.

2000 2.5RS
5spd
Sedan
92,000 mi

Used Mobil 1 oil, Valvoline SynPower Brake Fluid, just had timing belts, etc done.

Modifications:

Engine/Drivetrain:
Cobb Tuning CAI
Mr. Josh LW Crank Pulley
MRT Headers
MRT High Flow Cat
Greddy EVO cat-back
Kartboy Exhaust Hangers
STi Short Throw Shifter
Kartboy Shifter Bushings
Exedy Organic Clutch
Exedy 12.8lbs Flywheel

Exterior:
Ver. 6 Front Lip
Clear Corners
Clear Front Signals
Clear Sidemarkers
JDM Tails
RS Coupe Wing
Hella Black Magics

Wheels/Tires/Brakes:
STi 4 pot Front Brakes
Goodrich SS lines
Factory Pads <5k miles
Prodrive P7s (have some rash)
ContiExtremes 215/45ZR17 all-seasons (lots of tread)

Suspension:
Prodrive P1 Springs
Cusco Front Strut Brace
Cusco Rear Strut Brace
FHI 18mm Rear Swaybar
Whiteline Rear Endlinks
I will include a used set of Ver. 5 struts uninstalled

Interior/Stereo:
Initial K Indiglo Guages
PG 12" Sub in a sealed box
Profile Jam Amp (for the sub)
Soundstream A4 amp (for mids/highs)
Rockford Fostage Front Components
I'm not sure of the deck, probably an old Pioneer

Dyno:

Picture: (I'll get more up at some point)
http://www-personal.engin.umich.edu/...l/Pict0054.jpg

Issues:

Front bumper is scratched pretty bad, the lip covers most of it but some are still visible on the side.

Some smaller scratches on the bump strips and the rear bumper.

The underbody is scraped.

CE is on due to the MRTs. A mechanical fix should fix the light, I just never cared. I'll include the stock headers/cat if buyer wishes.

Sideskirts have peeling faded paint and are partially stripped. I will include a urethane stripper.

A high RPM 3-->4 fast shift will grind occasionally. It's been doing this for about a year, it's never really given me a problem and always goes into gear fine. It gets better with a tranny fluid change, I would imagine that switch to redline or equivalent will help but I make no guarentees.

Reason for sale:

Purchasing an STi.

Price:

$14,500 OBO

IF YOU DON'T LIKE THE PRICE SHUT IT. I've looked in the local papers and there are similar cars for more. You are free to make an offer and if the car does not sell I will strip more parts and lower the price.

Libila 2004-07-28 11:46 PM

Im interested as well. So I take it that you arnt interested in the galant anymore?

Kevin M 2004-07-28 11:48 PM

He probably still is actually. Hell, he could sell his brakes and seats to pay for that pretty much.

sybir 2004-07-29 04:44 AM

JC, I'm very interested in the V5 struts, my wagon needs some help. Let me know if you want to let those go separate......

So true! I've been thinking back, and can't say JC has a lot of good things to say about STI's, so maybe he should get a legacy.

JC 2004-08-02 10:20 PM

Not really, just a few people poking around. Scott should trade me for his WRX. :P Just think Scott, you are doing a swap anyway, why not into an old body style... :D

Libila 2004-09-25 05:12 PM

If you ever convert it back to stock, about how much would you want for it? I'm going to college in Tahoe next year and I need an AWD, but I cant afford a $15,000 car.

Kostamojen 2004-09-25 07:12 PM

I dont think its for sale anymore. However, you might want to give Barsotti's a call in Newcastle, he had a couple RS's along with a few other scoobs for sale...

ZER026D 2004-10-12 01:49 PM

I would get your car I am looking for 98-2001 RS this guy said I could get his for 12,500 cash. http://forums.nasioc.com/forums/showthread.php?t=642845
