Flatpanel LCD displays
Well, I *finally* got an LCD display here at work. It's a mediocre 17" TFT that came with my new Dell 350 PC.
And by "mediocre" I mean IT FUCKING KICKS ASS! I'm running dual monitors, so I've still got a Trinitron 19" flatscreen CRT hooked up right next to the flat panel (one of the nicest CRTs I've ever used), and OMG the LCD is soooo much nicer. White is white, black is black.. the colors are pure, the geometry is perfect. Not to mention the lack of flicker and small foot print. *Everything* about this LCD is better than a CRT... 'cept the price... This LCD makes my CRT look like a POS TV from 1973. This makes me wanna go home and thow all my CRTs off the balcony and go buy flat panels. I've actually contemplating buying a nice big LCD to replace this crap CRT here at work, till IGT gets around to getting me a second LCD. Then I'll bring my LCD home. Mmmm... Dell 2000fp: 20 inch LCD for only $800!! Too bad I'm only getting like $81 bucks back from the IRS... |
Hmm.....I have a IBM PII 400 mhz. I think it has 128 megs of ram and running on NT. They have 3 different firewalls protecting the network.
Of course our network is a WAN with millions of Allstate agents on at the same time. Not to shabby. |
