I uess he wasn't fast, if no body challenged the wing.

Oh wow... that is hilarious. I would really question the wing placement right there at the front of the roof. I think the dynamic AoA that the wing sees is going to be all wrong because of the upblast from the windshield. That lower element might even create lift, instead of downforce.

According to Dean, that's on the car to illicit a protest so the SEB has to clarify the wing rule in STX. No one protested the car.

I believe they think it is finctional. What is really wierd is that it is adjustable forward and backward, but moreso o nthe passenger side as I recall than the driver...

Big L channel Steel bolted to the roof with 3/8" holes every inch...

Very ammusing IMHO...

JC 2004-09-24 09:48 AM

They should have put it on the hood...

Where's your huge wing Dean? Maybe next year.

Actually, on my list is to come up with a lip/splitter like the one on the USTCC car... I am looking at low speed airfoil options for the rear... Most of the stuff out there doesn't provide enough "lift" at autocross speeds...

Dean 2004-09-24 10:03 AM

I can't believe nobody has keyed on this picure yet....

Maybe this is like the Dirt bike from yesterday...

:P I'm just being an internet bully... you know, since Kevin's got a day job now and can't be on here all day.

I really like the Trunkmonkey stuff... it's just that since Subaru's gotten so mainstream, it's not as "quirky" anymore. :(

I knew about trunk monkeys, but had not seen this logo, and it fits so nicely on the STI wing uprights...

I think I need a magnet version, but don't really care for the Black on white from TrunkMonkey.com Anybody seen the artwork around anywhere?

I believe that is Jason Rhodes' car. Here's a pic of his S2000 with a motorized wing:

yeah, go to a tour event! :P :P :P

They are the required Suabru contingency stickers.... I made magnets for the doors, but I tried the new trick for the hood. Swirl on some wax and let it haze up. Apply sticker over haze. wipe away excess wax.... Sticker will stay, but peal off easily later... Great trick...
