What does young and healthy have to do with 5 week hospital stays after some ditzy soccer mom t-bones you in her Expedition while yelling into her cell phone over her screaming kids and shuffling CDs in the changer? It's insurance, not "discounted health care". buy it. I know I will as soon as I get confirmation I'm staying after the holidays.

90$ a month is actually a pretty good price. Or at least from the prices I have seen recently.

Is that the one with the $500 deductible or not? If its that plan with a $500 deductable, it may not seem worth it. If its a co-pay type plan, then its sure worth it.

Medical costs are ridiculously high. If anything goes wrong with you, you'll be flat broke and/or in debt paying the bills if you don't have some insurance to cover the costs.

Ya it does depending on the coverage. Even if you break a leg or something, it'll add up fast.

Insurance is just one of those things you have to eat it on...

$3,000 annual deductable. 20% co-pay for prescriptions, NO dental, NO vision. I haven't had insurance for the last 6 years, so why should I start now.

So far everyone I've asked has been much lower. My brother has better coverage at Fed Ex for $31/month and my parents is way better for $50/month.

well if you do take it you better make sure its $90 per month...the CRAP the offer where I work is that per 2wk. and It sucks...so I don't have ins. either. :( better watch for soccer mom.

I pay $34 every two weeks:

Medical (non-HMO, I can see just about anyone w/o a reffereal), Dental (zero deductable for checkups ever 6 months), Vision (checkups once a year, new lenses or contacts once a year, new frames every two years). IGT takes care of its employees. :D

must be nice to be taken care of like that...I wish I could get that. :P

I pay $3 per week!

Of course I have to go to a Vet instead of a regular doctor but hey, it's cheap.
