Another Fatality on I80
In case you missed it, there was another fatal accident on i80 thru sparks yesterday. I'm so aprehensive driving this road to work everyday...NDOT should be ashamed of how unsafe they've made the roads through the construction area, it's scary. People have got to pay 100% + attention, and I know that's impossible...I hate driving through there every day. This accident looks alot like the Impreza in Georgia where the guy walked away...weird. Be careful everyone...

That is one wicked freaky accident. That suburban cruppled up. So scary.

That just sucks. I agree that that part of 80 is horrible.
|
Does anyone know when all the construction on 395/80 is supposed to actually be finished?
|
That article said construction is supposed to be finished by next summer.
That's not the only dangerous part of I-80 around here (as Evan knows first-hand). I hate going through the spaghetti bowl at almost any time of day. I can't believe no citations were issued! Shouldn't the truck driver in the rear have been cited? Good Lord, this is the stuff of nightmares and my paranoia about big trucks now. |

That chunk of road would be a lot safer if whoever puts the temporary stripes down would do a better job of removing the old ones first. |
I stay off the freeway these days. I'll only go through there if it's the only way to get to my destination, and even then, only if traffic is light.
|
I wont drive on those parts of the highway any more.........but then again with all the off ramps closed there is no reason for me to drive throu there
it is sad that the big trucks dont give them self's enough room seeing over the tops of all the cars you would think they would look ahead at all the slower traffic :? when you have that much force to smash a Suburban you have to be speeding  |
The Freaking off-ramp form southbound 395 to Oddie is closed till June '05!
I used that off-ramp more than any other in freakin Reno. |
