Hey Matt,

I feel your pain. I had "The Crud" last week and had to work long days both Friday and Saturday. I made it through with the help of Dayquil/Nyquil and an IV of OJ. That and some rest.

You should take asprin on a regular basis to help with the fever and the aches. Take Vitamin C or eat citrus fruit, because its good for the immune system. Bundle up under a blanket when you get home tonight and get lots of rest. WebMD said try not to stop your symptoms (aka a lot of drugs), they are the effects of your body fighting the illness.

Hope you feel better soon!

Freaky.. I never ran a fever, nor felt "feverish" when I was sick.

The 1st 30 or so hours for me was a sore throat. The next 30 or so hours was runny/stuffy nose... you know allergy type symptoms. And since then I've just been coughing a bit (colds trigger my asthma, which can take a few days to go away).

I felt tired and beat-down, but I was still functional unless I needed to concentrate on anything for an extended period of time. I was certainly able to wrench on the car, and drive 2 minute runs. And by the time I hit the track at Thunderhill I was feeling pretty normal, except for the runny nose.

Sorry if I got you sick! Feel better man!

Shit, I felt the same way today... at least I don't have to worry about passing it on to you. :P Good thing Brian is only home about 15 minutes a day now for showers.

Whenever I'm sick, I just drink lots of OJ, and take Nyquil if I can't sleep. Usually clears me up pretty fast without taking lots of drugs. Sometimes you just need to go get some antibiotics though.

MattR 2004-10-13 08:38 PM

Yeah, i'm feeling better already...Today was tough though...I don;t think scott's sickness had anything to do with mine...Night.
