Hahaha! The perfect SD picture I could never find! Good work mang!

Nick Koan 2004-10-19 07:42 AM

I think I see a giant herd of them gathering in the hills right now.

dknv 2004-10-19 08:03 AM

monkeys in the trunk, donkeys in the snow. I feel some christmas present ideas coming upon me.... :D

doubleurx 2004-10-19 08:37 AM

Yes it is. They are already out in full force up here. The forecast through Wednesday is for 12 inches at lake level and 2-3 feet at the higher elevations!

MikeSTI 2004-10-19 09:01 AM

Time to switch to winter tires :(

I was just thinking about how long it's been since the RS has been sideways too. First good snow someone needs to bring out a video camera, I wanna make a new video.

Woah, snow flurries this morning in Stead. Wasn't sticking and it graudally turned into rain as I headed toward Reno.

ArthurS 2004-10-20 07:56 AM

Its really coming down over here in the NW

Kevin M 2004-10-20 07:59 AM

Wish I had a camera, car is whited out and there's snow on the ground. :( Damn I need those M3s...

dknv 2004-10-20 08:16 AM

Yeah, it was coming down pretty hard when I left this morning before 8am. Anybody know what the elevation is over there, or compared to downtown? I'm thinking we're 100-200 feet higher.

doubleurx 2004-10-20 08:37 AM

16" of heavy wet snow at my house. That stuff must be 50-60lbs a shovel full.

Dean 2004-10-20 08:39 AM

Ther was a layer of slush on top of the car this AM, as well as the newspaper and plants/bark, but nothing sticking to the pavement/concrete/ground...

It doesn't look like we will get anything sticking down this low with this weeks worth of storms, but the herd of donkeys is certianly in the neighborhood... Good luck in the higher elevations...

sti deede 2004-10-20 08:48 AM

Yay! it's snowing in downtown. It's so pretty from the office. :D

I'm surprised it wasn't snowing on my way into work today... it was 36F out, and yet still raining.

That is surprising. I've seen it snow up here when it was 50. It all depends on the air temp around 100 feet above, which up here and in Reno can vary by as much as 20 degrees. Yesterday most of the day was in the mid 30's and still snowing.

MattR 2004-10-20 09:39 AM

Nick...Pictures! I'm having snow withdrawals

Also, Should I put my snow tires on? Or is it just going to stay wet down here...I'm on my "intermediates" ST 115's, and they are great in the Rain...However, I've never tried them in the snow...I'd actually like to see how they do...

How busy is Big-O these days? I think I'm getting a set of M3's this week (hopefully today if I've got time) and I'll need to get 'em mounted on the stock SVX rims. I think I should probably get the car aligned too, since I don't want to wear out the new tires prematurely, and I don't feel like doing it myself.

Tire stores this time of year are hit or miss...usually though, they are very busy around the time of the first big storm, as people rush to get their tire needs resolved. Just call em up...

You know...We should have purchased tire mounting and balancing equipment 2 years ago, we would have paid for it by now...damn

ArthurS 2004-10-20 09:50 AM

I can see Big-O from my window. It doesn't seem busy...but you never know.

What, you only do your own ultra precise alignments on the race car?
