Was that one yours Nick :?: :D

Dean 2004-11-01 08:29 PM

OK, am I missing something? Those prices are way high for a used WRX. I spent a good deal of time on Cars.com, and Autotrader helping Sue find hers, and that just seams high. Sue's "new" 02 with 47K had an asking price of $15,999, and she paid less than that for it.

Nick Koan 2004-11-01 08:32 PM

Hmm, strange. One of those looks like Scott@S-Squared's and the other looks like doublerx's. How odd?

And yeah, that is a bit high. I personally wouldn't pay that much for a used WRX.

Kevin M 2004-11-01 08:33 PM

Well, we know what the dealer paid for each one, so... Anybody wanna go play hardball?

Dealers generally have higher prices than private party sales.

Especially ones in the Automall. If a non-retarded person buys either of those, they'll pay ~$4500 less than asking price.

my car is an 03 with 23,000

I would sell it for 22,000 in a second

Good luck with that! My car is an 04 with similar miles and the best offer I could get from a dealer was 17k. Maybe private sale might get u closer.

yah I was pretty much being sarcastic.

LuvMySTI 2004-11-01 10:23 PM

I agree those prices seem a bit high. I didn't pay much more for my new 04, but I'm pretty good at talking those dealers down hehehe... anyone need help buying a car just ask, but the dealers might run when they see me coming. :P

Mr. Xevious 2004-11-02 06:40 AM

hmm.. looks like the 02 comes with "performance suspension springs "

sybir 2004-11-02 08:55 AM

Yeah, but what's up with those ricey fog covers?

MikeK 2004-11-02 09:01 AM

How come all the cars on the lot have licence plates? I thought when you sold a car you had to keep the plates. Or is this a california thing?

I California the plates stay with the car, unless you want to keep them for another vehicle.

doubleurx 2004-11-02 09:45 AM

Obviously the two cars are mine and Scotts.

Let's put it this way: I bought my car brand new in March of '03 for $23,250. I never thought you could put 18,000 miles on a car and appreciate in value.

That of course is the dealer's prive. Kevin is correct, I'm sure you could get mine out the door for $19,000 or so.

Hey now ricey means no function only form. In tahoe, enyone with a wrx through one season has broken fog lights.

Now Scott's on the other hand, well just look at his new floor mats.

Have fun at Sema!

LetItRev 2004-11-02 02:15 PM

Hey Nick, those wheels and tires look pretty cool on your old car!

MattR 2004-11-02 06:23 PM

Those rex's look busted

You can only keep personal plates, not serial issued ones.
