*%$# garage door

So the torque tension thing snapped the wire loop at the end causing my garage door not to work.

At first me and brother though it would be any easy fix. Until we got to trying to fix it today. I finally fished a new wire through the tension thing(torquemaster counter balance link below) and it ended up needing to tightened without slack so I did that and then tightened to torque specs. Those specs being a plastic dial on the end you look at. The first go at it I guess I torque it too much b/c the thing released some tension in the form of spinning backward a bit causing a little bit of friction smoke. So I figured I was owned a little. I looked back at the plastic housing which the wire loops around as the dorr raises and it is cracked a hint!

I thought the tension thing was just to help in manual mode. I guess they actually help raise the door in conjunction with the chain drive at the top does that sound right?

So I spent all day trying to fix it but still have no got it done yet.

So life still sucks.

I didn't actually read your post because it's too long, but that sucks.
