Well we all had fun up in Winnemucca. Theo and Debbie did great, I did'nt set any records but did better than I thought I would. Theo whooped it up in STX beating one of the black WRX's from Idaho by 1 tenth!! The second day it rained in me and Theo's run group and the WRX were absolutely slaughtering everyone, but then it started to clear up and well the big boys got use the throttle. For a minute there it was WRX heaven. We can talk it up at the meet. I got some video also, but it's on tape so I won't be posting it.

Awesome! Can't wait to hear about it. I bet the rain was fun!!!

Well, I'm here to testify that Tyson did an awesome job for his first time out. On Sat. Theo ran a 68, my best run was 70, and Tyson was at 73 - awesome for a 1st-timer! The TTOD was the Rotafire at 61.6 sec.

Tyson had the little off-road excursion on Sat., kicked up a dust cloud and led the announcer to state that it was ok, he was out there in a rally car anyway.

Sunday started off with standing water still on the course and continued sprinkles - like T said, perfect for the Subarus, which owned the run group. Then it cleared at the end of the 1st run group & the course was dry by my run group. Had a good 4 runs before it started sprinkling again, so in my 5th and last run I got a chance to see what everyone was saying about the slippery course actually being kind of fun.

Due to good participation from the Reno region and skillful driving, Reno won the Challenge Trophy again this year.

Congrats everyone!! Sounds like it was a great event. I'm sorry I missed it! :x

The rain was a blast to race in. Not so much fun to work in.

The wagon just loves the wet tarmac and held the road amazingly well. It was a kick getting all 4 wheels spinning out of a corner. You could really see the AWD advantage in the slick stuff. I think if it had continued to rain for the whole session the top time would have gone to a WRX.

I makes me almost wish for a nice warm rainy race weekend.

Hey! That must be the guy I was out on track with taking pictures! It'll be cool to see how much better he is than me, considering I have zero photography skill.

Scott, your pictures are really good. I love that poster picture (thinking about taking it to Gordon's to have an actual poster printed out - uh, do I need your permission?).

Thanks for the compliment! :)

Since it's a picture of you and your car... I think I should ask for your permission!

In general, I have no problem with people using any of the stuff I post online in any way, as long as they don't try to pass it off as their own work... and that's mostly with regards to my posted code and stories, all I want is credit for my work. I pretty much consider the pictures public domain... at least the ones I took. That's why I try to post pictures that people send me in a named gallery, so it's somewhat obvious they're not my pics. Future revisions to the gallery code will support better copywrite info.

So, long post short, do what you want with the pictures... and let me know how a poster comes out! If it looks good, I may have to get some posters made for my cube! I guess I should start taking a few hi-res images at each auto-cross for poster material... I don't think 1MP will blow up that well.
