Door banging

/rant_on
It is unbelievable how disrespectful some people can be about other people's property!! And won't even apologize if they did something wrong!!
I was so f***'in mad today. While I was sitting in a store parking lot putting on my seatbelt, a car (what do you call those cars with a truck bed in the back?) parked beside me, and the passenger bashed his car door into the side of my rear passenger door. I looked over and the guy just stalked away, and the driver and another passenger just looked over at me with no expression - no apologetic gesture, no shrugging, no nothing. It seemed like that passenger did it on purpose, it was so hard. I got out and looked and sure enough there was a ding & paint left from their car door. I looked again at the driver & said out loud "there's a dent!"; and still, just a blank expression back. I almost followed the passenger into the store to say something to him, what, I don't know.

Maybe my patience and goodwill for my fellow man was being tested today. I thought about it for the next couple of hours, and thought about what f'in assholes they were, and thought about all the things I wanted to do to get back at them. But I know revenge is never healthy.

el camino?

Did you get the license plate # ?

That is really awlful Debbie. Some lady was walking by my car in the JCP parking lot and her purse nailed my drivers side side mirror. She didn't know I was sitting in the car, until I launched out of my seat. I yelled at her, "Hey your purse hit my car". She said she was sorry, that really didn't quell my anger at her complete lack of walking amibent protrusion awareness. If someone actually dented my car OMG!

I can't believe you held back Debbie. That just goes to show how you can take the high road, which I think is a great sign of someone with high morals and is intelligent.

I think of lot us on the board like Eric said would have lost it a little bit!

I'm waiting for the JC reaction?

Cause I know he's a hard hitting mofo when it comes to this stuff!

dknv 2004-12-26 08:35 PM

Your replies cracked me up! Yeah, I needed 'Eye Poker' there to say the 'what the f are you lookin at' phrase! Well, my mom's car is already older and dented and scratched in many places - but still, it doesn't mean someone can add to it and just walk away!

Right, El Camino. It was a CA plate, started with 4L4xxxx (don't remember the rest and didn't write it down). But if I see it again I'll recognize it and if nobody's in it - I'll flip up their windshield wipers or something.

Tyson - OMG - you should patent that phrase - walking ambient protrusion awareness. WAPA! LOL!!

There's a great story from my friend Brent at IGT.

He owns a '76 Bronco... the body is beat to hell, but mechanically it's a beast. Anyway he's parked in a lot, just about to get out of the bronco when a big-ass '70's Cadilliac pulls in next to him.

Now, it's summer, so Brent's got the window down and he's looking right at the woman in the Caddy's passenger seat as she opens her door, tossing it right into Brent's door.

Brent says something to the effect of "what the fuck!?!"

She replies with a hugely condesending tone, "welcome to Nevada" as she gets out and starts to walk away.

So Brent litterally kicks his own door open (remember this Bronco is mostly primer and bondo) and embeds it in the woman's door, creasing the holy hell out of it, and replies "I'm a native." Then fires the truck up and blazes out of there.

The best part, according to Brent, is that the driver of the Caddy just say there the whole time shaking his head at the stupidity of his passenger, and never even moved from the driver's seat.

damn debbie that sucks. You did take the high road on that one..good for you ..but me..I could not let it go...I would have waited for them to leave then proceeded to remove both mirrors and wipers...

sonicsuby 2004-12-28 09:18 AM

I would have flattened a tire on that persons car. There's no reason to disrespect someone the way they did you.

A few years ago I was at Wendys down the street from work. I was walking out with my tasty lunch (and a Frosty!) when some guy opens the passenger door of his buddies Dodge Ram and smashes it in to the door of my gorgeous 240sx. I walked up between the two cars and blocked his path out. He just looked at me so I asked him if he had something to say for hitting my car and he mumbles "sorry :(" so I let him go. Asshole.

No damage to the car though. That car was a tank, and unlike the stick on Subaru paint job the Nissan paint was solid. Didn't even scratch it :)
