Dammit, I'm outta town, but I need to de-mod the ALK and your air tools would really help...

Oh, if you're gonna put the boost controller on, make sure you use a boost gauge to test it out. 4th and 5th gear pulls on the freeway tell you your max pretty stabily.

MattR 2003-05-08 09:50 PM

Yeah, I had it on before, i usually set it around 14.5 with my guage, even that setting, the way the boost works is very much improved, and well within safe range.

Scott, anytime you need to use the air tools, let me know, Any weekend is fine...

I need to change my sway bar settings and raise the rear or I might leave it.

MattR 2003-05-08 09:53 PM

The more the merrier!!! 8) I better clean some of the shit out of my garage...

See ya guys...bed time :(

14.5 on an otherwise stock motor should feel pretty quick because you're making full boost in all gears, rather than just 9psi in 1st, etc.

Thanks for the offer on the air-tools! I may take you up on that before the next autocross... (which for me isn't till June, since I'm going to miss Hawthorn :x) I wonder if I'll be able to scrape together some $$ for coil-overs before then so I can just be done with modding my car for this season.

Yea I am there Matt. Evan, you should drop by also.

Do I need to pick up some paint or something for the headlight mod?

Everyone say 10 Am?

Matt, PM directions to me and those you have no idea how to get there.

Later.

ZER026D 2003-05-08 10:17 PM

Im there

tysonK 2003-05-08 10:18 PM

yah 10 am...he he.

Yah maybe the black paint and clear-coat to get the shiny look right?

ArthurS 2003-05-08 10:19 PM

Yea. Lets just get it togeather. I am a paint retard, so I would probably end up getting some off-color black. :?

tysonK 2003-05-08 10:29 PM

Maybe we can pick up the the little bottle of MBP paint scratch remover from Lithia and take it to Home Depot or Lowes and see how closely they can match it. I don't know if they can make a black with blue flake in it but I can try. And Matt might do his lights white, which I think might look really cool, if anyhting it's totally different which is good.

MattR 2003-05-09 10:53 AM

Terrific Install-fest guys. It was almost flawless, minus Matt's bulb breaking. Everyone's headlights look sick! And thanks for helping me install my endlinks.

Nice to see your R1 Phil. That bike was sick also.
