does this sound right : hard pull in 3rd and a quick shift at 5500 rpms and I think it will shoot flames everytime because of where I am in the power band and the amount of fuel needed there

Sounds about right, Mine will do it at 5000 to 5300 in 4th (Which is slightly over the speed limit) :twisted: I'll have to watch it at that 3rd gear range, it's hard to see unless it's a huge flame... :lol:

I think its just the rich condition at that RPM with more head room the car doesnt expect you to shift and dumps fuel

I think you're right....I wonder why mine blew that big one in the parking lot? Why would it be Blue too? at sea level, it was an orange flame, now in Reno, it's blue, is our fule different? Or what?

It's unbelievably loud outside the car, inside the car, it's great, not loud at all.....I loved the way it sounded, definately the best way to make your car better than evryone elses. :roll: hehe...
