stupid BMW boards

I'm just trying to find solid information on what size wheels and offsets works with what width tires.

We found a deal on tirerack for 19x8 OZ Superleggera for his M3. Friggin 259 each for 19" OZ  Tirerack says run a 235/35/19. I thought we could fit at least 245 on a 8" rim maybe I'm wrong.

Scott, does Matt go to any good BMW forums.

Tire Rack's size reccomendations are based on gettign the closest match to stock diameter so the speedo is accurate. What's stock size on his car?

225/45/17 front

245/40/17 rear

going to 19s kind of limits your choices. 245/30R19s would fit best, but TireRack only carries one tire in that size. There's some really good choices in 235/35 though.

19s are going to significantly affect the ride quality and handling on the M3, and as Kevin points out severly limit your tire choices, as well as the tires being much more expensive than 17s, or even 18s.

What are you trying to accomplish by getting 19s?

That's fine, but if he likes how it rides right now, he may not with 19s...

Yah I told him about the rough ride. I don't know if you have ridden in M3 but it's pretty amazing how they can stick to the rode yet be very soft during basic driving. Most of the guys on the BMW are running 18's with a much stiffer suspension, so I bet 19's on stock will not be to horrid.

He's trying to accomplish some cool 19's for his car.

19's are the new 18's

didn't you know?
