Atwater autocrosses

So is anyone coming out to Atwater to autocross this year? I'm up for co-driving someone's car with them again (Scott).

There's another SCCA National tour event on 4/30-5/1, among other AAX dates. Downside to Nat'l tour is fewer runs in the weekend, although the "cool" factor is slightly higher...

Atwater National Tour is on my callendar... but due to funds and my wish to focus on Trials and Track this season, I may or may not go.

I'm planning on the Nat. tour event, but am also in the 'looking for a car' dept.

Along that line, I want to Run the ProSolo Event in Wendover, has anyone seen any registration or event info.?

I don't think I would be competitive in SM at Atwater, so I don;t plan on hitting that event.

Everyone should try Atwater at least once to experience the awesome grip of the concrete surface.

No we clearly will get our clocks cleaned in SM at a National Tour event. But it would be a bunch of fun, and usually a challenging course. Although I'd rather do an AAX event down there: way more runs, less SM competition, and a much faster course.

I'm all for trying it out, I think an AAX event would be my choice though...HP wise, I think I'm okay, but National Level SM cars would kill me on my street tires with my medium suspension...

You mean awsome tire eating grip... I plan to be there... I think

The AAX date on 6/4 & 6/5 looks pretty good, it doesn't conflict with Reno SCCA's schedule or NASA's schedule.

I might be able to work that into my schedule if others are willing to come too.

Yeah, there was chunks of tire all over the place. It was like a Hoosier cemetery.

So does that mean that Street tire is no good for that surface. I don't want to have to buy another set of tires to run the event.

You can run street tires there no problem, I've done it many times.
