How far is it from Reno and in what direction?

MattR 2003-05-27 09:46 PM

Its about 5 miles north of town. Very close. you should come...

ArthurS 2003-05-27 10:15 PM

I am there this time for sure. I will hopefully get my sway bar and hd mounts from evan by then, but doubt it. Ill still be there. My friend may come down in his new celica also. Does it matter if he doesn't have a SCCA membership?

Will it be Krispy Kream at 7 am again?

STIwish 2003-05-27 10:55 PM

I might do that.. ill be racing my first race this weekend... gonna be fun. :)

Bring him! It'll cost him $30 per day (vs. $20 for a member).

Also, usually on Sat. after racing alot of us go down the street (Sneakers Bar & Grill) for food/beverage/bench racing.

ArthurS 2003-05-28 08:09 AM

Alright. Thanks.

Time to have some fun. Has anyone had damage done to their cars yet from the cones?

Matt - Where was that deal for helmets?

tysonK 2003-05-28 04:25 PM

I decided that I'm not going to get any suspension mods for my car until I become a better driver around the track!
Kinda pointless right now.
word.

I plowed some with my body kit, and no damage at all. I've hit 'em hard too, the cones give quite a bit. And if they leave a mark, Windex will take it right off.

As far as the helmets go, I got a sweet open face, G force helmet for 107 shipped. I'll bring the catalog to the meet thursday if you guys want.

See ya

tysonK 2003-05-28 08:34 PM

what is bench racing, debbie?

Yea bring that tomorrow. I will pick one up for the next auto-x (not this one coming up).

tysonK 2003-05-28 10:30 PM

I wanna buy a helmet but the loner is free, and it doesn't smell that bad.

Kostamojen 2003-05-28 11:56 PM

Ill be probably attending this one, perhaps with some other subies from Sacramento...

MattR 2003-05-29 05:44 AM

Bench racing is when you sit on a bench and talk about racing, and commiserate about hitting cones, or not having your car setup right for the course, or for bragging about how you shaved 6 seconds between your 1st run and your last run. etc etc etc.

Do It!

sperry 2003-05-29 08:23 AM

I think I might finally get Austin (LabMonkey) up for this one in his Mustang.

Right Austin?

dknv 2003-05-29 08:30 AM

Austin should come --
the event chairs (and I assume, course designers) are Mustang drivers!

AtomicLabMonkey 2003-05-29 12:11 PM

I can't unfortunately.. I'm only getting back from my honeymoon vacation that Saturday night. 8)

Kostamojen 2003-05-29 11:37 PM

I heard that the course designs are rather open, not very twisty... Is this true?

MattR 2003-06-01 10:23 PM

Meet time saturday??

Well, It looks like the STX (Blue) run group is to run third, so theres no need to show up out there first thing on saturday. Maybe we should meet up a little later, like 10 or so, Just a suggestion, Or we can head out there at normal time and watch and hang out.

On sunday however, we run last, so we have to work group 3, again, no NEED to get there early, what does everyone feel like doing???

D- Stock, STS and STX all run together in blue group. The newsletter says the afternoon drivers meeting is at 12:15, so we have plenty of time...

Discuss. 8)

MattR 2003-06-01 10:26 PM

it will also allow everyone to get their cars out of the impound lot saturday morning, after the 2F2F meet

sperry 2003-06-02 09:24 AM

I'll prolly try to show up fairly early Saturday morning, assuming my car's ready to go in STX (otherwise I'll be finishing my ALK removal Sat morning..) I want to get there and get pictures of the morning run groups and check out the course.

Sunday, I'll prolly be a bit later.... a full day Saturday = tired Sunday morning... ;)

MattR 2003-06-02 11:11 AM

So??? Krispy Kreme? yes or no? Do we still want to meet up before hand?

ArthurS 2003-06-02 11:14 AM

KK at 7 am?
