that was freaking cool.

I thought he was going to stay out until the bare metal of the rims started to ride the pavement but I guess he cut it off just in time.

I'm curious if Tire Rack supplies his tires. How long will a set of rubber last under these conditions?

Would one get a set of crappy tires for this "exercise?"

If the car's actually competing in One Lap (I doubt it) then something's screwy, because you're supposed to both compete and drive between events on one set of tires.
