STI/WRX DP interchangable???

Hello all,

Got a chance to score an STI gutted DP and mid pipe cheap. Will it bolt up to a WRX? I know the turbos are different between the two. Are the downpipes interchangable? Thanks...Troll

It will fit, but it won't make much difference. The flat flange and 2.5" piping don't improve your powerband much. You're much better off getting an aftermarket 3" downpipe.

Seems like I recall you have to have one cat in the system to compete also. I better go read the rules.

I was hopeing the STI had a better wastegate design. Think I'll stick with my original plan and get a 3" high flow catted DP.

Street Touring requires one cat in the downpipe, Street Prepared does not.

No. If you're "consolidating multiple cats", ST requires one cat within 6 inches of the location of the furthest downstream cat. i.e. you can get away w/ a single cat in the midpipe, and a catless UP and DP.

So.....say a Strumong DP through the factory 3rd cat or aftermarket high flow cat would be ok?

Would DP's with the cat closer to the turbo, such as Helix, fall into ST as well?

edit.....catless uppipe of course
