Auto-x pics, Texas style.

I just thought that I would share a few pictures that I took this morning while at the 9th Solo II event here in Texas. Enjoy-

This is the venue. The course extends all the way to the back of the lot and off to the right of the trailer. Fast one lap times are usually in the high 60s.

Here are two fellow Subaru guys that have been a lot of help these past two events.

Here is a one of the two Evos that were out today. There was a Graphite Grey MR that ran in the morning, but he left before I got done working the course. This red Evo is friggen' fast. I love watching this thing pull the back wheel off the ground in the corners.

Here is a Father/Son duo of older civics. The kids Si (red hatchback) is supercharged, and with those Panasports and Hoosiers on he ran the third fastest time of the day. The Father's CRX ran the second fastest run of the day, right behind an open wheeled Ford.

Last on the list is my RS :D I got the sixth fastest PAX time of the day and finished 3rd in STS.

I've got a few more pictures if you guys would like to see them.

Nice results! What kind of speeds do you reach on that course?

Libila 2005-09-04 03:03 PM

I glanced down and saw 55 mph the other weekend on the straight.

Kevin M 2005-09-04 04:30 PM

With those tires, second gear is worth ~54 mph on the limiter and third is ~75 mph. Slightly higher for both if you put the Yoks on.

What are you doing in Texas?!

Those pictures rock man!

How many peeps were there and how many runs did you get and how long was the days events? Full Report!

MattR 2005-09-05 10:38 AM

Haha...Texans.

Good work on the sixth overall PAX Tim, I think your schoolin' with SECCS/ RenoSCCA has paid off! haha.

Your car looks great.

Libila 2005-09-05 06:17 PM

I was allowed five runs but I only took three because my tires chunked all to hell and the threads were showing

There were 35 vehicles entered, including the two open wheel forumla cars and four carts.

Thanks Matt.

Car looks awesome man and it looks like you are having fun in Texas. :)

Libila 2005-09-06 06:39 PM

I don't know about having fun, well, two fun days since I've been here. School is owning my soul. Two of my classes are mini-mesters so I have Government/Politics and US History twelve hours total a week.

Thanks for the compliments guys.

JC 2005-09-07 10:11 AM

Ah school will be worth. It does suck though, I can't wait to graduate already, lol. How do you have til you are done?

Nice sig.
