Coil-overs!

They arrived!

I've got some photos taken, but I gotta head out the door right now to make it to the meet, so I'll put them up later tonight. They're nice-lookin. Very purple.

So, now for the hard part: installation!

Is anyone willing to be enlisted to help me get these on my car sometime in the next week or two?

Did you get the Helix DNA ones?

Actually the only hard part of the install is the bottom strut bolt. Most of us have installed coilovers a couple of times.

He he! I already volunteered to help as soon as I have time! (at the meet tonight)

It's do-able in the driveway, but with the lift and air tools, it's a 20 minute job. Plus the alignment rack available is REALLY nice!

sounds sweet.......I wanna ride.......I got a ride in Cory's today with his new Tiens. J, I gotta get a ride before I leave next week.

Cory, my mind purged any mention you made of your schedule this saturday because I thought I would have to wait till next week, but I should be able to flop my shift this week. Are you available this saturday afternoon or evening?

It's possible, but there's a problem... Our alignment machine is broken! The dude who services it said he needs to replace a sensor on one of the heads, and he'll likely be able to do it today (friday), but if not he'll be here on Monday. I'll have to let you know as soon as I find out.

:brill:

MPREZIV 2005-11-05 08:47 AM

The dude came by on Friday. The stinkin ass thing still needs some other part, so it looks like it won't be fixed until monday!

M3n2c3 2005-11-05 08:55 AM

Damn. Next week, then - unless someone knows where in Reno I can have a short-notice alignment done on a saturday afternoon :P

MattR 2005-11-05 09:21 AM

You can drive it without alignment for a couple days, it won't hurt anything.

M3n2c3 2005-11-05 03:03 PM

I just talked to Cory - we're gonna get it done on Tuesday afternoon. As far as the alignment goes, I'd prefer to have it done as soon as possible after installation, since I tend to drive upwards of 50-70 miles a day between my work and my wife's work.

So Tuesday's good. Cory, you rock :)

Kevin M 2005-11-05 06:44 PM

Even 1000 miles wouldn't hurt you. You'll have it eyeballed within reasonable accuracy after installation, enough that crazy wear or strange handling won't be an issue. But hey, if you can do it all at once, no good reason not too, especially since you don't have a pressing need for better handling between now and then. :)
