Powder Coated 03 WRX Stock Rims on my Yellow Wagon

Thanks to Pat and his buddy Guy who hooked a lot of us up with a slammin deal. And of course, super big thanks to Cory for dismounting/mounting/balancing my tires.

I went with the 20% gloss black...same as Pat. It matches the roof rails perfectly, but the flat black paint I used on the center caps looks off. I'll hit them with some gloss black eventually.

When I get home I'll get to see this is full resolution, cool.

Looks awesome dude! Glad you're happy with them!

doubleurx 2005-11-22 09:12 AM

I think black rims on yellow looks awesome! Nice work.

JonnydaJibba 2005-11-22 09:14 AM

That looks hella good.

JC 2005-11-22 09:38 AM

Looks good, get some CF sidemarkers and EDM headlights. :)

cody 2005-11-22 09:47 AM

:) There's just no satisfying you JC.

I'm going to do the rockblocker smoke film on the tails and the sidemarkers and Koji the headlights soon I think.

Thanks for the compliments.

Buy Tyson's UK300 lamps! They'd be perfect w/ the black on yellow look, plus they're uber rare lights.

How big are the stock rims on a WRX? 16?

Nah, they'd get scratched to hell and plus I like the bumble bee theme I have going. :P

Tyson's lamps are hot and I considered it, but I can't afford that much money for bling. I'll Koji them soon enough.

It's not just bling. You'll get much better light output from the projectors.

cody 2005-11-22 11:17 AM

Yah, I've considered replacing the bulbs since the stockers put out crap for light. People don't even flash me if I leave the high beams on...not that I do that on purpose.

Bulbs != projector lenses. You get more light from the same bulbs w/ projectors, since it focuses the light properly.

Plus, if you go w/ brighter bulbs *and* projectors you'll be putting a ton of light on the road w/o blinding oncomming cars... if you just go to brighter bulbs on you stockers, you'll be pissing off oncoming, w/o actually seeing much better.

I know, but $$$$$$$$

tysonK 2005-11-22 12:26 PM

I'll go down to $475, that's a freakin steal, these lights are bright.

You'd love them.

You are just now figuring that out? haha, you should ask Scott. It took him long enough to take off those gay little driving lights.

Thanks for the generous offer, but I simply can't afford them right now. :(

I'm trying to buy a house...and I don't even know if I'm going to be able to swing it as it is.

That's a good choice, though not nearly as fun.

cody 2005-11-22 01:09 PM

Yah, it sucks because all I can afford is crappy fixer uppers.

Buy a condo instead. You can get a much nicer place for less $$. Unless you have "sperry syndrome" and it's not good enough for you.

It's all about value. $500,000 for a condo in a flood plain isn't a good buy IMO. But I'll take one for $200,000 if it's got an attached 2 car garage... the only problem is, there's no such thing in Reno.

Whatever you say Scott. I'm just glad I bought before I got to be as needy as you. :p

cody 2005-11-22 01:52 PM

I'm considering Condos, but I want a garage soooooo bad. I don't mind living in the ghetto, I just want a garage and a water tight roof.
