Yeah from his background he should give Gordon and Stewart all kinds of grief on the road courses, cool news!

It all depends on his team I think.
I was expecting more out of Boris Said this year, but he only got out of the cellar at Watkins Glen with a respectible 3rd, but he did that well when he only ran the two road races a year. |
Agreed...Wood brothers racing has become a midpack team, and as far as I know, this will be their first attempt at the truck series. I think he'll be competitive, but the learning curve will be a tough one.
As far as Boris said goes, He's continued to struggle with the ovals, his team is competitive though, last year the 01 and 10 cars (his two teamates) were fairly competitive, not sure why he can;t put it together. |
4 Words... Only 7 Oval Starts! Ya gotta take the flag to get the seat time. Maybe Boris should drive a truck, or Busch car for a season or two... I think he finished every race, he just didn't excel.
|
He did drive Crafstmans truck for a 64 starts. In 97-98 he was quite successful

I didn't want to start a new thread for this...But Speed has been airing the whole season of the V8 supercars....But it appears as though they are not airing the finale ???
 It really is the shittiest network there is, talk about a crappy monopoly. I wish there was an obscure motorsports network that catered to my needs. |
I just checked their site to check and noticed something even worse ... Formula 1 is no longer mentioned

The glory of Speedvision is long dead, replaced with Barrett-Jackson coverage, Kenny Wallace getting personal grooming & endless replays of last weekend's Cup & Busch events. It's only going to get worse, gents.
We dropped our extended cable 2-3 months ago because we weren't getting anything useful out of it. |
Oh, but thank god we get such gems as:

http://www.petitiononline.com/SpdTV/petition.html I glance through some signatures and did recognize at least one scca person in the latest list. Other than that, though, not sure how legitimate it is.. |

What's going to happen is that Speed will see their viewership decline (hopefully, otherwise I have no faith in american motorsports fans) and realize that more Kenny Wallace is not going to help the situation. Once the advertizers see the audience go away, they'll stop paying for the NASCAR junk, and either Speed will go under, or change programming quickly enough to get the audience back. What sucks is that we're going to have to go through a period of garbage programming while that occurs. |
If ESPN was smart, they would pick up the slack on one of there numerous useless channels. ESPN Motorsports....
Or OLN could spawn FLN Fast Lane Network. I wish congress/FCC would force them to offer channles a la carte... All the crappy channels would cease to exist if nobody payed. |

If you pay $43 a month for 120 channels (DishTV), that is $.35 per channel. I watch maybe 30 channels. You don't think those channels would rather have $1.40 each? I know it isn't evenly distributed, but all $120 have to colectively be profitable for the individual entities broadcasting them, or they would pull them. This just gives me control, not them. |
I watch shows on about 4 of my 150 odd channels. I could pay $15 a channel and still come out ahead.
