Anybody Need used parts?

I am making a Stop in Rancho Cordova to pick up a couple parts this afternoon and or Monday. Anybody need anything? Small is OK, but nothing huge. I alrady have the car full of two sets of tires.

Maybe a set of fog lights? Tyson? Sorry, no room for Seats, but I can check them out...

Hmmm.... I need a salvage titled bugeye so I can strip it, seam weld it, cage it, and swap my drivetrain and suspension over to it. Then I'll rebuild my WRX shell w/ the salvage motor/tranny/etc and sell the car with a clean title. I wonder if I could make some money on a deal like that, and end up with a salvage titled race car that's cheaper to insure.

...course that's one more plan I can't implement until I have a house w/ a garage and a truck with a trailer. :(

Beware of flooded cars... I have heard you never know what kind of rust issues the chassis will have, even years down the road.

I don't think anyone said that car was flooded... besides, if I were to go through with that plan, I'd probably strip the car to a bare shell, media blast the whole thing bare, do an assload of welding, and repaint the whole thing inside and out w/ a race paint job. I can't imagine rust would be much of a risk after all that. Plus I'd be rewiring the whole car, so corrosion in the electrical system wouldn't be an issue either.

Ty, I may have a front grill for ya. And I've got some headlights, but they're painted black, and one's cracked a bit, so they're probably only good as a last resort.

Look, or buy? Call and get pricing, and let me know if you want me to buy. I guess I could ask for you, but then I have to call you and ask, and then possibly go back Monday ... I'm off line now, so hit me on my cell with anything.

tysonK 2006-01-13 12:38 PM

I will call your cell.

Of course you are not reading this cause you are offline.
