Street Racing Documentary

There is a street racing documentary on A&E right now. It's funny to watch these goofy guys they're following around get all thugged out and talk smack.

Why is it that shit talking is the first ingredient of drag/street racing? When I show up at autocross, I don't run my mouth to Scott and Mike, so why is that the first thing that happens at drag races? Seriously, I'm curious.

Anyway, it's not a ground braking film or anything, but entertaining I suppose.

Don't people still meet at Longley and McCarran for "street races?" I dunno why people call them that, they just sit around in a parking lot.

I'm sure spooln could fill us in , but honestly, I think everyone has gone stealth as far as races go. RPD is watching all

I remember a bunch of us took the Subies down there to Longley one night, there were like 13 of us. No one wanted to talk to us though. hehe. that was like two years ago.

What's an IQ?

sp00ln 2006-02-03 04:16 PM

Jk, my IQ is 127. Anywho, they just like to front. You know, make sure their balls are bigger than the next guy.

It must be hard to avoid granny shifting and not double clutching like they should with those giant balls between their legs.

I think all the auto-x thuggery and smack-talking occurs right here, but in a sophisticated sort of way.

Strictly from an observer's point of view, of course.

The critical difference is that we talk shit for entertainment and in good fun. No one's gonna show up a Stead airport and shoot up the place 'cause I told 'em their Vette just got beat by a Jap grocery getter 4 door.

Haha, I remember that.

I just watched this, wow that dude with the Mazdas is a douchebag. All that shit talking and a 14.5, way to go tiger. I laughed when he blew up his RX7 AND his Miata. The dude was the Civic was just too cool for school, King of Da Streets, too bad he's 23 and lives with his mom. lmao

No, i'm going to hold out until I find the right car, I just havn't found what I want. I've had 8 cars in the past 4 years, I want to find something that'll hold onto for awhile.
