Massive online storage?
So, if you wanted to have, say, 50-100GB of low-bandwidth space available on the internet, what sort of options are there?
For a small non-IT company with no server, that is. If it was me, I'd just get a dedicated IP and do it at home. |
How important is your uptime?
You could even have a dynamic IP, and use DDNS like I do. With 3Gb DSL, I think I get 512K upstream which isn't half bad for $25/month. Heck, XP Pro comes with IIS now(Not sure about "Home"), so sutup your router with a DMZ host, or port forwarding for port 80, and go for it... |
I use www.dreamhost.com, I jsut picked up a screaming deal; their base package is 20gb of space and a terabyte of transfers a month, mail, all that junk.
Their corporate packages have the specs you'd need; I paid $20 for the first year, total, with a coupon ;) Their Code Monster package is 60gb of space, 15.95 a month and 1.6 TB a month. |
