Pictures of my Spec B

I figured I would post up some pics that I took of my Spec B about a month ago after a washing. Some of them are a little dark since the sun was going down. I will have to come up to one of the meets when I get a chance. It is a little far for me since I live down in Gardnerville.

Anyway, here are the pics

And mods, if I missed an actual post your pic thread, I apologize in advance.

Nice. I really like that color! :)

You got that from Michael Hohl? Did they have to order one? I thought that Carson would be the last place in the area I'd see a Spec B.

the spec b is a special edition Legacy with Bilsten suspension, limited edition color interior and exterior, navigation system and 18" wheels with great rubber (Potenza RE050).

They're also limited to a run of only 500. Each has that little numbered plaque that you see in pic #3, with the car's #/500.

That's frickin awesome :jealous:

sp00ln 2006-03-06 12:37 AM

Michael Hohl was the only dealer in the area to get any (or so they say). The do however have an award in the showrooms that toughts them as number 9 in the nation as far as Subaru sales go.

They still had two left about a week ago when I picked up an oil filter there.

Unfortunately I have never driven a Impreza/WRX/STi, so I cannot comment on that. I keep toying with the idea of test driving an STi to compare.

I did however, drive an Evo IX MR, and a Mazdaspeed 6 before I bought the Spec B. The Evo rides a lot more firm and is a bit faster, but lacks all of the creature comforts of the Spec B (leather, moonroof, etc.)

I did not care for the MS6 that I test drove. The ride was OK, but the clutch was way too grabby for my taste. As you let it out you would get nothing, nothing, then all grab! I almost killed the thing twice during the test drive.

I actually think I will keep these stock wheels. However, you can buy them from any Subaru dealer, but I think they are about $250 a piece :(

They lied to you. I personally saw a small handful, (maybe 3) at Reno Lithia Subaru when they first came out, when SlickNick was working there!

A1337STI 2006-03-06 12:01 PM

Yeah you definatly should. Maybe if i ever loosen up a bit i'll let you drive my car to compare to the two. i've never let anyone drive it so ... :P
Sounds like a nice ride quality though :) still some good road feel ? (those 18's ) :)

again, very sick car :)

Yes those are the 18" stockies it came with. I love em so I doubt I will change them.

Kevin M 2006-03-06 11:06 PM

$250 a wheel? That's a screaming deal. Hell, that's only $50 a set less than ANY stock 16" alloy Subaru wheel goes for new. And only $500 per wheel less than STi BBS!

Actually that's not true. MH Subaru had 3 shipped to them back in October before I left Reno. I was working for Reno Lithia Subaru when we had two shipped to us. I know that the spec B didn't sell like they thought it would, or anticipated. Not to take anything away from you or your new ride, I fell in love with that car and almost bought it before I left for Washington. I had #'s drawn up one night, just moments from pulling the trigger before talking myself out of it. I was going to buy #112. Tell me that wasn't a sign. Still a very hot car. Congrats.

Did Lithia end up selling thier Spec B's or do dealer trades with them? I have not seen any other ones driving around the area. Just curious.

Are there any visual differences on the exterior that distinguish Spec B's from regular LGTs? Aren't the wheels bigger or something?

18" wheels and a exclusive silver color (though its a very subtle difference, and most people would be hard pressed to notice).

Don't forget the manure colored leather.
